Freqs with unknown purpose for Sacramento (CA) county

I have had the following freqs in my personal db, and they are listed in the db here. However, they are not shown in Sacramento County or any links I can find.

KNJU869 (transmitter on Mt Vaca)
Output Input (conventional)
856.1125 811.1125

WPWV729
Output Input (conventional)
857.4875 812.4875
860.4875 815.4875
Because of where the xmitters are located for this license, it might be used by regional (wastewater) or similar purpose (part of Sacramento County).

WPHE355 (This license comes back as part of the Sacramento regional Multi-Agency Radio System. I do not believe they are part of the main system, but some other 3 channel standalone trunk).
Output Input
858.2125 813.2125
859.2125 814.2125
859.4375 814.4375

WPCQ365 (conventional)
Output Input
859.2375 814.2375

Thanks,
George

Here is what I know:

WNHX890: Sacramento City
Purpose unknown
Output Input (I believe this is a 2 channel trunked system)
859.4625 814.4625
860.4625 815.4625

We need more information than just the agency and the callsign. We need to know specific agency and what they use them or it for. Much of what you've mentioned can be extracted from the FCC database. When we can provide more information we can present it in the database.

Trunked systems especially, we need a lot more information. We can't just create an entry for two frequencies and say their trunked usage.

Hello Wayne.

Here is my thinking re my posts. I already had these freqs, and I doubled checked them with the database here. That all matches. While I know the agency who the freq is licensed to, I do not know the purpose of the freq or agency that actually uses it. It is my hope that someone here can help enlighten us with that info.

You seem to have one word (database) to describe everything stored here. Perhaps there is a term I do not know of which is used to describe the listings (typically) for each county which shows the purpose of the freqs. My next point is that there are cities not listed (ie Sacramento) separately in those listings which I believe should be.

I will be researching this further and will reply when I have additional info. Hopefully someone out there can help too.

Thanks,
George

George,

When we have useful information for the Cities we can create the separate page for the City. It doesn't exist now because no one has submitted anything for the City.

I use the term database because that's where all the frequency information is stored within.

City of Davis Fire

Here's some info for the City of Davis Fire Department:

The following are all simplex channels.

These do not seem to have a license.

They are used for MA/Fireground channels on certain incidents. On normal operations, they will use a TAC channel on the TRS. These are programmed for interop communications.

They're also equipped with VHF radios for BLUE (UCD), and all the Yolo County fire channels, along with WHITE FIRE 1-3 on their engines.

867.2500 Simplex "SIMPLEX 1" QSC
866.0875 Simplex "SIMPLEX 2" QSC
867.0125 Direct "DIRECT 1" QSC
868.0125 Direct "DIRECT 2" QSC

These two are licensed to Sac County (WPHZ928), so they probably are for SRRCS (i.e. West Sac) mutual aid.

867.0125 Direct "DIRECT 1" QSC
868.0125 Direct "DIRECT 2" QSC
867.0125 is actually ITAC-2 direct
868.0125 is actually ITAC-4 direct
so someone may have goofed the labels

After I posted those, I saw that they were part of the NPSPAC plan. Those were the only channels in that zone.

Thanks for the correct IDs, looks like Motorola goofed up on the labels.

For any San Bernardino County listeners, I've noticed over the last couple of months Big Bear Sheriff's Station is operating in talk group 304 along with Twin Peaks. Talk group 336 is just off the mountain stations now

I just submitted some new frequencies for Stanislaus County. 453.525--Stan. Cnty. Fire Control 1 (153.77 in database isn't repeated; this one is) 461.575--Air Med. 155.325 and 131.075--Mediflight. I'd also like to submit a Modesto Police beat map that I found somewhere.

Posting to the forum here for the first time. Would like to know why the information was not included the first time.

I'm submitting this information for the second time.

I'm not sure where you submitted it first but there's nothing under Santa Cruz County from you.

The data's in database now.

Metropitan Public Safety. San Diego
463.850

Confirmed 1/9/07

Listened to a 417 call that they had SDPD respond to. Was then able to confirm their company as being the company on property.

At this time there are tentative plans for an new travel net using an existing statewide system, but it has not been finalized. Once the final authority is given I will post the information here.

Mammoth Mountain & June Mountain Ski Areas UHF/VHF Systems

Here is the remainder of what these ski areas use:

Mammoth/June Conventional Radio Systems

Old VHF System

1 151.835 Junior Race Teams Staff and Administration (Bases on the top of Mammoth
Mountain and Rainbow Summit at June Mountain)
2 151.805 Junior Race Teams Coaching and Races
3 not assigned
4 151.895 Unknown use (Bases at the top of Mammoth Mountain and Rainbow Summit at June Mountain)

Above used with 82.5, 97.4, 100.0, and 103.5 tones and possibly more. Loaned/rented to large groups in town, both summer and winter, including the Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee held annually in late July.

New VHF and UHF Systems

151.625 Nationwide itinerant frequency licensed for 5 mobiles or handhelds.
151.955 Staff Accommodations (82.5) (Various apartments/lodges purchased or built by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and used for employee housing)
Tamarack Lodge Housekeeping and Operations (67.0). Does not include the cross-country ski operation which uses Nextel cell phones with the Walkie talkie feature due to very marginal coverage on the MMSA trunked system.
464.500 Juniper Springs/Sunstone/Eagle Run Lodges Guest Services/Maintenance? (67.0)
464.550 Juniper Springs/Sunstone/Eagle Run Lodges Housekeeping & Operations
(67.0)
451.300 456.300 The Village at Mammoth Lodging - Housekeeping and Operations (D143)
451.500 456.500 Unknown or not used yet. May be used simplex on output frequency.
451.7875 456.7875 Unknown or not used yet. May be used simplex on output frequency.
451.825 456.825 Unknown or not used yet. May be used simplex on output frequency.
452.975 456.975 Unknown or not used yet. May be used simplex on output frequency.
151.5275 Junior Race Team ski coaching.
151.6025 Junior Race Team ski coaching.
152.9525 Junior Race Team ski coaching.
153.0125 Junior Race Team ski coaching.

The last four frequencies are used in headset radios. Tones heard include 97.4, 100.0, & 103.5. They might be used for other purposes such as in restaurant seating.

June Mountain Ski Area

1 460.875 465.875 June Meadows Chalet Repeater (Administration, Building Maintenance, Snow Removal, Lift Supervisors, Grooming, & Ski School Supervisors) (97.4 Tone)
2 460.875 Direct
3 452.650 457.650 June Meadows Chalet Repeater (Ski Patrol/Lift & Electrical Maintenance)
(82.5 Tone)
4 452.650 Direct

June Mountain was only open for about 3 weeks and then was closed for the season due to the lack of snow. This submission and the previous one on the trunked system is based on years of listening. More listening needs to be done, especially on the UHF frequencies that are shown as unknowns and on the new VHF frequencies. These frequencies are used with very low power and on site listening at the various venues the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area runs such as the "Village at Mammoth", and Juniper Springs and Sunstone Lodges near Chair 15 is needed. The UHF/VHF frequencies are used much less and I haven't had the time to sit at the various venues to listen.

I hope this all helps!
