west point M/A com TRS

i am planning to go visit family up in orange county tomorrow. does anyone here know how i program the west point TRS system into my psr 500 digital scanner. i would appreciate any help on this topic.

..good evening all..wanted to revisit this.since the update to database

saw the update on RR database for west point usma this past nov 13, 09..

i programmed the two sites.. into my 396t and 996t using the butel arc and RR database...
doesnt seem to be scanning the system...

are there any changes that never made it to the database?
i checked the control channels just had one listed for site 2
should i include all control channels for both sites?

you should enter all channels for both sites as this system tends to change control channels quite frequently.

I get the CC's for both sites here but it seems like site 2 is rarely used. When there is an active talkgroup on site 1and I quickly advance to site 2, there is no talkgroup active. Site 2 CC is almost full scale here where site 1 is only about half as strong here, but still tracks it fine. Some Talkgroups:

The reason why you aren't hearing as much activity on 202 is because...

Talkgroups are full-time simulcast between the two towers only for users that need full facility-wide coverage - not just main campus coverage. Examples include Fire, EMS, certain Security and MP, and select Range Control and Military Instruction talkgroups. Simulcast for certain linked talkgroups (i.e: 1592) is only activated when a radio is affilated to the system on that channel.

but is this a m/a com system? so- edacs? or edacs SCT
im a bit confused and dont know how else to get this to work..
any guidance appreciated..

I have the 396XT and just set it up for a P25 Standard system using Freescan and it tracks fine.

thanks again for your advice..and info..

i tried the 'freescan' and it looks like i have made progress...
i am "seeing" the control and the DAT when it scans thru the sites..
