In the Phoenix valley, dispatchers on the RWC have wireline control. In at least 1 department I regularly listen to, a call will be put out, & some officers will key up over the dispatcher to reply they're responding while further details are being given.

I'd like to see Uniden add MDC1200 to their up and coming new scanners. Not only could you see (and maybe alias) the MDC 1200 ID on the screen, but maybe it could also mute the MDC squak like a real Motorola.

I second the data operated squelch. I find it annoying when both people with the MDC1200 are making short transmissions back and fourth to each other.
