I'm using "Goodplayer" on my Kindle Fire and it works (so far, about 5 minutes).
I tried that with no luck. I could never get it to connect in either mode.
I'm using "Goodplayer" on my Kindle Fire and it works (so far, about 5 minutes).
Ran all afternoon, all over the office. Stream address is rtsp://172.20.29.146/au:scanner.au (you'd replace the IP with your own).
Is this from internal or external? If external what port did you forward? I tried seeing if I could connect using my external IP with no luck. Some users have had success.
Happened again today. Identical symptoms and cure.Did the dual firmware update about a week ago. I have never installed/run the audio streaming program, but I have run the RH-536 program briefly a couple times a few days ago, and it worked fine at that time.
Yesterday, while not connected to the RH-536 program, after a while my 536 screen did not show the WiFi icon. The dongle's light was on. Checking it through the 536 menu showed "WiFi busy". Waited about an hour, no change. Unplugged and replugged the WiFi module: It came back to life, and I was able to connect via the RH-536 test program.
Waiting to see if it happens again.
I have successfully (i think) updated the wifi dongle and Sentinel. Radio boots up with wifi dongle. My issues:
1) I see all the networks. Can't enter PW on my private network. The screen shows Input Password, blank screen for 3 lines with the cursor and then "4 < cursor > 6". I am unable to put anything into the screen.
2) so I go to the open Infinitywifi (no pw) and it connects. Wont connect to VLC in either my Mac or Windows side. Proper IP inserted.
Any help is appreciated.
I have been using VLC for remote audio since the WiFi firmware was released with no problem, until one day VLC would not connect anymore. I found that the IP address in the scanner had changed the last digit from 9 to 8. After correcting the IP address in VLC, all is good again. My question would be--- Why did the IP address change in the 536?
Typically, the IP addresses are assigned by your router using something called DHCP. Under this protocol, the addresses are not guaranteed to remain the same. My IP address changed following a power failure. However, there are other reasons why the IP address changes....
I suspect a future update will allow users to assign an IP address (maybe)....but it seems this will really be necessary if we want to be able to communicate with the scanner over the Internet....
