Hey guys, I'm on a roll! I was back in Round Rock for about 24 hours and picked up another new Talkgroup.

8576 = Jarrell Volunteer Fire Department

Now I didn't actually hear them say "Jarrell" but it was Engine 3312 talking to FireCom. Based on the Williamson County Uniform Apparatus Identification system, 3312 is a Class A pumper from Jarrell.

I also heard Medic 11 having a conversation with MedCom on 8016 so there is another one to keep an ear out for. Has anyone had any luck identifying which department is on 8512 that I heard briefly on the last trip?

Digital testing

FYI, we're going to be doing coverage testing on the digital side of our system Monday-Thursday of next week (possibly Friday, too, if need be), using 3-4 frequency pairs temporarily pulled from our analog "pool."

Thats why my 785D is goin nuts. I'm trying to keep it goin good for the stream. I guess I'm goin' to have to work on it a little more now. It has been nice for the past 4 years not having to mess with it.

garyva. would it be possible to submit any info on talk groups?

Beaky, I was getting ready to post on ScanCenTex to see if you had figured out any of these new TGs in the 8000s that seem to have popped up since I moved away last October.
