Downloaded the 300 Mhz freqs for the military into my pro 96 with win 96 software. I'm not hearing anything and i should. How should the software be set for this band?

Since that frequency range wasn't designed to be picked up by the Pro-96 (Features), reception will be better on some units than others.

When I owned one, I got terrible reception in that range.

AM setting is NOT for trunking systems and scanner cannot trunktrack 385 MHz systems but if all voice frequencies are programmed in FM mode you may be able to pick up voice when it occurs on the frequency.

Edit: You need to check 'Extended Frequencies' box in Settings/Weather Tab in Win96 to enable out of band use.

When I had a PRO-96/2096, I did this and it work fine.

First make sure you have checked the box for enabling Extended Frequencies.

If it's Military Aircraft you're trying to monitor, most will be in AM mode.
