Just left the area of I-25 and the Mead exit, and traffic was at a stand still, due to semi's trying to climb the hill Northbound. So traffic was getting off at Mead exit and using frontage road northbound. That was also turning into a problem with cars sliding off since lane reconition and white conditions up north.
Sounds like they have snow trucks that just went through the I-25 going north of the Mead exit up the hill is open, and they are now trying to get the highway traffic going again.
Intense snows have diminished across much of Metro Denver at this time. Lighter snows to continue into the night along with strong winds of 20-30mph gusts to 40mph resulting in blowing and drifting snw (blizzard conds) SkyviewWX
Thanks for the warning guys. We here in eastern Kansas are going to get hit real bad tommorow morning. We looked at what happened to you and we are hoping it's not that bad here. How bout we send you some of our tornadoes this year?
