Do you mean 852.3625 ?
The pending application says:
"The applicant requests Special Temporary Authority to license 855/810.3625 to resolve an
interference situation while continuing to provide adequate capacity at this
trunking site. The
applicant is licensed for this frequency at another location 25.3 km away. There are no other active
licenses on this frequency within 113 km. This is a Sprint Nextel giveback frequency and has been
cleared by them"

800 MHz Sites

Expect to see some changes on the Milwaukee area 800 MHz sites... from what I am hearing, they are looking at making several of the sites operate in simulcast mode (all sites transmitting on the same frequency at the same time) as opposed to the current multi-cast setup. Not sure about any timeline for implementation...

Fond Du Lac Site

Anybody scanning the WISCOM system up in the City of Fond Du Lac area? Hearing that the site had been down for 3-4 days and the City PD & FD had to move to their fallback system...

I am not up there..but that system has been kinda weird for me . On different trips thru FDL County I have noted two control channels (151.2950 / 154.3100) at times. Tracking 151.2950 will allow one to hear the normal traffic on the site (City of Fond Du Lac, FDL SO Scan, Etc), but the other one (154.3100) appears to just be the control channel.

I couldn't obtain Site/System ID numbers since I only had a BC396 (Which doesn't show the 3-digit site numbers). I am pretty sure it was not bleedover since I heard both CC's from several different locations in the county.

WSP orders wireless mic/speakers

MissionCritical Communications, Radio Resource International, and Public Safety Report - wireless voice and data communications for mobile, remote and public safety operations (ignore the long title, it's a short news release blurb)

Wasn't there an issue with the portables they selected for WISCOM, if so, wonder if this is some sort of way to try to work around that.

These wireless units appear to be bluetooth-based but it's a bit unclear. I do know the competing Motorola product is BT-based.

If these are the same mics Greenfield Dispatchers have they work great, standing outside the PD, and in other areas around the building.

TG152 active this afternoon with air detail from Eau Claire Post.

Switching between 152 and VHF F2 as at least one of the troopers in the mix was "not capable of trunking yet."

TG151 had normal Eau Claire Post traffic.

I was listening to one of the Milwaukee Wiscom sites and noticed TG 40091 show up a couple of times. I looked at the RR database for Wiscom and didn't see this TG listed. Does anyone know who this TG is assigned to? Also, does anyone know when the WSP Waukesha post will be switching over to Wiscom? Thanks.

I wonder why Menominee Regional Public Transit can be heard on Milwaukee County sites, why have unnecessary traffic on sites? About - DOTS Website Can't the casino pay for a radio system?

If you check the "Fares and Passes" tab on their website you will see they have bus routes covering the entire state of Wisconsin and even travel into Minnesota and Michigan.

One other thing to keep in mind as well would be WISCOM admin staff. Someone from the WISCOM staff could have been affiliated with that site and monitoring or testing a radio.

If a trouble report came in for a WISCOM user, it's possible that a tech could have been monitoring the TG to see what's going on.

Just a thought.

Hearing activity on TG 16102 off Chippewa Falls tower this evening.

Unit numbers were in the 500's (530, 527, etc.) Sounded like they were calling "Sawyer". Don't normally hear Douglas County area so not sure.

Nothing in Db for this TG but Superior PD is close. Maybe someone in EC for training or whatever?

That would be Superior PD. Their unit numbers are 500s and the TGs match up.

Is TG 16102 the same broadcasts as TG 16101? I don't see 16102 in DB unless I missed it. I'll report it to DB admin to add in.

Very active that is for sure. And I just heard them say "Superior" !

I've heard it before, I think it's their Channel 2. I can't confirm because I don't always hear it.

TG 16102 is indeed City of Superior. From what I've seen when cities have their own talkgroups the numbering will generally mirror the normal plan +100.

Following this, 16102 should be Superior's "channel 2" on the system, however the patch from analog was moved from 16101 to 16102 back in May. I am unsure of the reason for the switch.

You are actually hearing the main Superior Police dispatch channel, thus why there is so much traffic.
