I don't know how WISCOM is setup, but ARMER is setup with external patches. Meaning any analog radio is (hard)patched to the digital P25. Every site in the state of Minnesota has these hard patches. These are usually used for fire paging and certain VHF interop frequencies. The UID is 0. RID 0 in Minnesota indicates an External Patch. WISCOM may be similar.

This makes sense for the county scan groups. But everything is coming back with RID 0.

I've never not gotten the Radio ID on my SDS100 or SDS200 on either VHF or 7/800. What scanner are you using?

What TG's are you listening to? Some are patched, either on consoles or on the back end, some are ISSI'd and some are both. However, that's never prevented seeing ID's for me.

Just checked, already set to Norm. I can get RIDs no problem on other systems. Just not WISCOM.

I have the same issue but only with the WISCOM sites that are vhf. I can get the RID on the 800 mhz sites.

He's using a Pro-106.

The PRO-106 / PRO-197's have never been able to display RID's on VHF P-25 systems. It's a known issue on those scanners, and was never fixed in any of the firmware updates.

If you use the scanner with something like Pro96Com to decode to CC data stream, the software will show the RID's. But there's no way to get the scanner to display them while monitoring a VHF system.

That’s true. The same for the Whistler WS1040.

FYI,

I have an instance of Boatbod OP25 scanning WISCOM's De Pere (RFSS-1, Site-43) site that is logging RID's with no problem.
AFIK, this is an EFJ Atlas that I can confrim uses MBT Trunking.

See the "Source" column for RID's as captured in the Subscriber Registrations page shown below.
