Just caught Fayette Fire(5201) doing a test while going into my bedroom to take my medication(I have it on RED LED so I can spot it better ) I dunno if I will hear anything else but lately when listening to the analog part for fayette county fire on some transmissions I hear that control channel noise(tower) sometimes. I think they might be going to be IRPing soon.

Heard Jackson Co EMS unit 436 on TG 7931 this evening around 5pm. They called Jackson Co. dispatch on "IRP" to tell them they were en route back to the county from Charleston General. Also heard a radio tech earlier this afternoon tell Jackson Co dispatch he would be at the Ravenswood tower.
I Just Heard Jackson Co Sheriff arriving and departing from So.Central Regional Jail on TG 7931 this evening at 11:30pm.
What tower did you hear that on,Jess?
It hit on the Chas Tower Bert.
That gives me a chance to catch it if it can hit the malden tower too....thanks Jess 
Does anybody know how extensive Jackson County is planning to use the WVIRP? Will it be limited to situations like this, where units are out of analog radio range, or will it be for normal dispatch ops?

I heard a deputy responding to a local call from Jackson Co dispatch this evening(Saturday) on TG 7931 around 10:30. It was off tower 2-9 here in Ripley. It sounds like they are slowly integrating it in with their regular analog dispatching. I've heard both EMS and LE using TG 7931. They always identify their traffic as being on "IRP." I have a friend who is a state trooper here in Jackson Co and if I hear anything from him I'll pass it along. About a month ago, he told me one of the ranking deputies had received an IRP portable.
What agency does the regional response teams represent anyone know(I got 5905 and 5915(last night) as wildcard hits....)?

I think you were getting the Friends of Coal with 5905 and 5915. They been on Ghent tower the last few days. I guess from there it goes to the PGA and then to State Fair. Also they were using the Raleigh County Courthouse channel as well.
Thank you. I have relatives with analog scanners in the area and was curious whether they would still be able to pick up Jackson County.

I figure that the the other 2 will be more on the Alderson site, so when the day comes to it I will be locking out Pax tower and add Alderson to the scan list. I know back in winter I can get Alderson up there at work are you able to get that tower from home?
The Alderson tower? I think it's too far away,I have it in and no hits.
Just caught a new talkgroup 6559,Nicholas county? was kinda brief really didn't hear anything.It's not in the database so I'm glad I caught it.
