Good Listening

Well today Mason Co. was doing radio checks from the 911 Center to different 911 Centers all around the state. Boone, Wetzel, Jackson and Kanawha were included. Also picked up a new TG 9361 WV Dept of Environmental Protection. DEP 101 was communicating with DEP 104 up around Buckhannon.

Well,if my damn LLV hadn't broken down twice I would have been home on time and would have had the scanner on and possibly catch both of them(and that new talkgroup)

I was listening to this as well today while I was at the center working. I see that the IRP has changed to SIRN. When did that happen?

Wonder why since I don't see at ----Home---- that they adopted SIRN(I wonder if another state uses that terminology). I wonder where radioman got that from?

Did anyone else hear TG7931 about 5 minutes ago regarding some phone lines being cut and no contact inside the building?

Hey guys

I see that we (Nicholas Co.) are using/testing a couple more SIRN TGs; I caught 6507 and 6523 today while mobile on I-79 from the Gauley Site. I believe that these will be the Law TGs but I'm not 100% positive yet. Will inform after some additional monitoring.

I'm listening to this TG, thinking it is WVSP, It is encrypted and active tonight. I was listening the other night and hearing TG 8080 talking about locating a person here in Chas. After I listened for awhile I'm thinking by looking at the RR data base, this could be Chas. PD CID ( Detectives ). I will continue to monitor this to make sure.

Hey Bert I believe TG 6507 is our Law TG but I can't 100% confirm it just yet. I think 4307 is a Lincoln Law TG. If 4307 was heard off the Gauley Site that is a pretty good distance.

I think that was on the malden tower for the 4307,next time I see it I'll check which tower it was

I know that Mineral Co Sheriff are using the system now as a private talk around. I'm not sure if anyone is hearing them. They used it last night to talk with the WVSP on a bomb scare at our local walmart. I wasn't able to catch the TG since I was on the call myself with the FD.
