Tnx wm*s...while looking at the database again, I found something else I am curious about. I admit I have not paid attention to this, but I notice that some of the entries for the WV Interop System have entries under the heading "Display".
Is the displayed from the system or is this what someone has entered into their radio as an ID tag?

I think that's what shows using software like Trunker or Win97 for the RS units. I'm not 100% sure so someone correct me if I am wrong.

I saw that too. if so, I don't think they are always correct since what was listed as being displayed for EMS Fire TAC5 was not what it was used for this weekend.

Thanks Mike, I wondered about it since there seems to be something of a standard convention to the displayed name. It looks as if it gives a 2 number county designation, then a brief use code (like FDTAC1, or something). Berkeley county is alphabetically the 2nd county and all entries that have something showing under display for them start with 02. Jefferson is the 19th county and sure enough there entry starts with 19...the only thing that seems wrong is the entry for I think was Harrison that started with 21. Maybe the numbering convention is not what I thought after all (lol).
I just wondered if that was something that was just typed into the RR database or if it was displayed from the system itself...

The two GRE scanners are limited to 12 characters for TG alpha tag, this "Display" is an option for Web Import in Win96. In this pic, I've selected that option in the bullet near the bottom. Default is first 12 characters of talkgroup description which would be truncated to 12.

I just checked the ARC download files and "Display" column is blank, so may be unavailable with this software.

heard what sounded like radio techs on TG 1159 in Berkeley Co. they mentioned "holding cell" a few times so I think they were testing at a jail or other similar facility. I'm going to guess it's going to be a TG for Martinsburg City/Berkeley Co. Jail. not sure it they share one or not.

I heard the Techs on 1159 also. A couple of hours later I heard the same Techs on TG 1157. The testing seemed to be associated with the same holding-cell/A-29/jail/facility/whatever. Perhaps this system is going to be a fairly busy one...

After listening to them the last several days I think that they were testing the new indoor repeater/extender being installed in the new Berkeley County Judicial Center and County Government Complex housed in the former Blue Ridge Outlet Center. In the last month or two there were several articles in the local papers about reception problems there.

I just heard Berkeley Co. Sheriff's Dept on the 42.0600/192.8PL which is WVSP out of Charles Town. I guess when they call for any state or county unit they are able to simulcast.

I posted here before and no one replied about it. never really thought of taking a picture until now.
