Hope you see this before you go. Did you get the full system loaded? including both tables? I do expect the system to be being used down in the south end of the state.
Good luck!

Yes, all CC's and both tables set to multi in a 96 and 2096. Thanks for the quick heads up. We'll be in Greenbrier St Park tonight then on through to Frankfort KT tomorrow night.

I ran the I-64 through on Sept 18 and returned on Oct 1. Still no CC's for Cabell and Kanawha counties.

pro96com "software"

My results from downloading this software and using the pro 96 scanner with it.
The tower location is North Mountian (Berkeley Co. W.V.)
System ID- 170
Tower ID-107 (T0107) WACN BEE00
System discription- VOICE REGISTRATION
call sign- WQCW 253
Tower status- CONNECTED

The four (4) channels listed in the RR data base for this tower are.
460.1625 control channel (confirmed) and active
460.2375, 460.3625, 460.6375
I assume it's a 9600 system this is the SYSTEMS ACTIVITYS PAGE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CH FREQUENCY USAGE TYPE
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
02-0571 460.1625 C control
02-0577 460.2375 A
02-0609 460.6375 I CWID
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
notice that the 460.3625 never showed up in the decoding of the control channel to the software page. The (A) channel is the
alt-control channel and the (I) channel is the systems ID channel (once a hour) it ID's.

Then also on the TOWER INFORMATION PAGE
theres another table list
FREQUENCY IDENTIFIER TABLES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ID BASE SPACING TXOFFSET A/C BW
00 851.00625 0.00625 -45.0000 C 0.00625
01 762.00625 0.00625 30.0000 C 0.00625
02 453.02500 0.01250 5.0000 C 0.01250
I don't understand what this table is telling me? If it's a standard type table or if "maybe these are other frequencys being broadcast off this tower?
At this time it seems that I'am the only one getting an active control channel to try to decode this system. I seen some math wizards working on a 500MHZ system on the Motorola trunking system forum today! Great work!

North Mountian

Tables for the North Mountian tower listed in last post. These are programed into the multi-tables for the 9600 CC APCO system. Go to extended frequencys and enter.
CH-LO 8192
CH-HI 12287
Base Frequency 453.0250
Off set 8192
Step 12.5
This is (so far) the tables for all of West Virginia interoperability system. And as of this time theres no voice traffic. These directions are to be used with Don Starr's Win96 software and programing cable.
There more information to be found at "pro96com" yahoo groups. "Pro96com" is a software program you can download off the home page here on R.R. This is used in ID'ing 9600 systems and tower information. Thanks to everyone who has helped in Identifing this system.

Thanks

If you have a Pro-96 or 2096, you can run Pro96Com to determine any Alt CC's and confirm Bruce's settings for the state system.

Got voice today! With the settings above. Just happened to be plugged into the computer with pro96com and all of a sudden on the channel grant page I got things happening! So I had to unplug to see if there was voice on the scanner. wished I had just a little earlier. I did get two guys talking on the signal strength. Only lasted about 2 minutes and it was coming in loud and clear.

west virginia interioperability system

For what it is worth, I can copy 460.0125 analog. just fine off the North Mountain Site. I use a Kenwood THF-6A, on dual band receive in FM mode. I have been hearing WVSP Charles Town base station on lower receiver B band) (42.06). I have been hearing the assiciated mobile units on upper receiver (A band) (460.0125). Both in FM Mode. Every once in a while white noise comes in on B Band, but am able to squelch it out and still copy traffic just fine. This wil probably change when system goes fully on line. Any ideas?

Are you sure your getting 460.0125? and not 460.0250? the latter is a WVSP frequency. Maybe if you would, in your profile, put your location (home). Then we may beable to compare what we receive.

If I had the time, I'd attempt to drive down that way to help with this system. But, I prolly won't have spare time until spring. :(

Believe it or not, I was one of the first people to enter this system into the DB. I was able to monitor sites 101, 102, 103, & 104 from here in Cleveland over a few days during some AWESOME band openings.

FPO703 I wonder if it was some of the origonal systems testing that you were getting? I wondered when you said you were from Cleveland, long ways away. It's kinda fun keeping an eye on the system and learning as it coming on line. The tower is only 4-5 miles away, but I can see it on the mountain from town.

I got my pro96 yesterday and used Win96 to get the data from RR. I did the multi table with the low channel to 380 and hi channel to 578. Base freq. 453.0125, offset 380, spacing 12.5. 2nd set low channel 579 hi channel 759. Base freq. 460.0125, offset 579, spacing 12.5. Uploaded to my pro96 with no voice. Going through manually I could pick up control channels and could pick up voice on several channels, but when I hit scan it would not pick up voice. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Read above in brucewarming's note on 10-13-2005, 11:48 PM. Re-do the settings according to his single table setting. 0 out your table 2 and place his data in table 1. Also, make sure you are in Multi Table 9600 baud.

Edit: Note his base freq is 453.0250.
