I ready the below information on the Database page for this system. My question is, if I web import using win 96, will these settings be transferred to my scanner, or will I need to make these changes myself? I live in Delaware, OH but I am from Charleston, and travel back there quite a bit. I didn't want to deal with the trial an error if I didn't have too.

Thanks.

Custom GRE/Radio Shack Frequency Table

Table 1:

With WIN96 software for the PRO 96/2096 scanner:

1. Prompt "MULTI TABLES"
2. Prompt "EXTENDED TRUNKING TABLES"
3. Do not prompt any "STANDARD PLANS"
4. "CH LOW" 8192 "CH HI" 12287 "BASE FREQ" 453.0250 "OFFSET" 8192 "STEP" 12.5
5. "CH LOW 12288 "CH HI" 16383 "BASE FREQ" 450.0000 "OFFSET" 12288 "STEP" 6.25
6. clear all other trunking tables, and prompt "OK"
7. Don't forget to save your file!

You would have to make those changes yourself in the win96 program. Once the above data ("Table 1") is entered into your program correctly, no other actions are necessary other than importing the data from the Database page. If you have any other questions, feel free to post here. There are a great many helpfull people who frequent this Forum. I am sure others will reply to your questions on this subject. It is possivle that I have missed something or that others may explain it better.

Berkeley Co. - TG 1191

"new" TG heard: 1191. sounds to me it's fire ops. talking about extending and a bucket. I would guess it's a fire truck.

Edit: heard them actually say "fire truck" :). also, sounds like they are using this TG during a parade.

Edit #2: sounds like the same people on Martinsburg Fire Dispatch TG 1103. maybe a Fire Dept in Martinsburg.

I'm gonna guess TG# 9181 is the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office. Anyone else ever heard it?

Good catch. Had a hit on blind logging, but never heard any voice...

BTW, have you heard 6927 and 6951? Caught them a few days ago, but couldn't quite figure them out...

No. I'm not doing any kind of logging. I just hear what I hear in the truck occasionally. Did you record them? Have a .WAV or partial transcript? Maybe we can figger 'em out.

I'm just using the good ol' uniden software set for ID logging... I did hear conversation on the two 6000 series groups, but it was too short to ID them. It didn't sound like the techs.

I've thought about using some voice loggng software, but haven't had time to figger which one is best. (Heck, I've had my 996 for almost two months now, and it STILL isn't permanently mounted in the truck! - "Course, the weather has a lot to do with that!!!!)

BTW - Mike, these were logged off the Charleston site... (What software do you use?)

I use ARC396 Pro and ARC996 Pro. They have their issues but they are great apps.

I heard some interesting traffic on TG 993 coming off the Clarksburg tower yesterday at about 1:00 pm. Sounded to me like 2 Japanese gentlemen talking. Of course me not understanding Japanese didn't know what they were saying. Anyone else hear anything like this? It lasted about 10 minutes.

In that area, it could possibly be coming from Salem International University, but I have not heard it. We just have fire/ems/law enforcement in our scanner.

Heard traffic in the past but was never able to positively ID it. tonight when I went through recording to find out what happened in Martinsburg, I heard 2 officers talking on this TG about the shooting.

Has anyone logged talk group 0158? I logged it this afternoon, should be from the Salem (Harrison County) area.

Anyone heard any more about the Jefferson County site? I have searched, talked and asked everyone locally that I know might have information and have come up dry. I still hear the Jeff Sheriff Dept on North mt from time to time (although that seems to have dropped off a bit). The local amateur group that had mentioned potentially getting tower space on a site near the Va line in WV now is saying they probably are getting space on one of the county buildings in Charles Town or at the new 911 center. Anyone got any updates, like estimated construction date, planned start-up, etc.?
