kkn50 regarding your 11-25-2011 question about Mendon Mass - my records show that Mendon FD operates a ALS ambulance - and Hopedale FD operates a BLS ambulance - so you might have heard Mendon going into Hopedale on mutual aid.

kkn50 has logged 33.78 PL 77.0 as SWNH Fire Dispatch out of Keene NH. My records show 33.78 PL 123.0 as Winchendon Mass FD - which is near Keene NH - and formerly was dispatched parttime by Keene NH. Monroe Mass is a bit west of Keene and Winchendon. Monroe Mass is in Franklin County Mass - and all of those FDs should be on UHF now. Winchendon Mass FD might be using 33.78 / 153.83 / UHF as their main channel (all patched together somehow).

SWNH Fire Dispatch in Keene NH uses 154.43 as the primary paging and response channel for areas in Vermont and New Hampshire. They also use 154.145R for paging and response near Londondery Vermont. I have seen one report that 33.78 was used to link the dispatchers to the 154.43 transmitters - which seems strange - but interesting.
PS - I just noticed the logging on 33.54 PL 123.0 for Franklin County Mass Fire/EMS - that was their longtime primary channel - but I was under the impression that they were well on the way to using all UHF radios now. Seems that they are still transmitting on 33.54. "Shelburne Control" should be the dispatcher in Franklin County.

33.92 might be either Onset Fire District or Marshfield FD - both are in Plymouth County Massachusetts
33.04 PL 114.8 shows as West Barnstable Fire/EMS in my records - they are located in the Town of Barnstable which is located in Barnstable County Mass (aka Cape Cod)

Now looking back at records I think I jumped the gun on this one and now believe that 33.78 would most likely be Winchendon, MA.

OK Matt - thanks for checking your records - I have heard Winchendon Mass FD via 153.83 only - I seem to hear the Town 911 dispatcher, the fire station, and some of the mobiles - so I suspect that 33.78 is repeated on to 153.83 - I am not sure how their UHF channel is tied into the system.
Numerous dispatches with callsign "KCF415". Medical dispatch to ""Alpine Motors, 24 US Route 202, Rindge for mutual aid" with callsign KCF415.
