Another VHF Low Band opening here in N.W. Arkansas on Saturday afternoon, 07/24/2021. Strangely, while I didn't hear 10 meter activity, I did hear 6 Meter FM activity on 52.525 MHz along with all the following on what seemed to be a northward band opening:

With 30+ years here at Washington County Government “ Wireless Communications” department. A little bit about our operation… We are a self-maintained county government shop taking care of
our 911 communications equipment as well as all first responder equipment to include Fire Trucks, Ambulance, Police- city and county and all departments within the county that uses county radio systems. We have “3” 300 watt GE Mastr 2 base stations operating on low-band, our main county-wide base sit’s atop Fairview Mountain located in Clear-Spring Md. with an altitude of approximately 1535 ft. elevation plus 250 ft. on the tower. Our transmit antenna is a Cush-Craft Ringo BR-3 omni antenna. We utilize 2 GE bases at our city location for down town operations.
These bases were installed back in the early 1970’s . We upgraded to a Motorola Digital Trunked 450 Mhz P-25 10 site radio system about 15 years ago and simulcast with the 33.86 mountain transmitter as well. We operate on “4” mountain tops here in the county and several satellite sites throughout the county and towns. We also maintain a variety of other VHF and UHF transceivers for Mutual Aid etc.

Cushcraft Ringos are good antennas, but I'm surprised to hear they are being used in such a robost legacy low band system. The standard bearer is either the venerable Decibel Products DB 201, or if you have the tower space and *really* want to melt snow, a DB 212.
