Conditions have fallen back a bit over the last days here- CHP were on 39 mhz today - plenty of other bits and pieces - one nice one was

recording here: x.com I see this listed as 50 watts - is that correct?

Could not believe what I heard today...a time division Vericrypt 1100 or Cryptophon 1100 scrambler transmission.

Not wanting to change the subject, but this could help to ID the broadcast location.
That's not a BBC Cryptophon/Vericrypt [time-domain scrambler], but a Yachta T-219 [frequency & time, aka 2-Dimensional] scrambler (ex-USSR stuff).

You can tell by the FSK Sync running in the middle, at approx 1500Hz, with the scrambled voice split into 2 bands, above and below the sync.
IIRC, the BBC 1100 has its FSK Sync at approx 1830Hz, mostly above the scrambled "baseband" voice...
[RayAir will probably chime in with more details if he wishes...]

Heard a few stations I've not heard in a while, particularly Lancaster County, PA and Lee Cardice down in Monticello, FL.

33.860 (Morgan Co, OH) was a first time catch on that frequency, the PL 146.2 came up on the receiver but I'm not sure it was them or not that is using it. Their other channel is carrier squelch. Can anyone tell me if there is 146.2 on their 33.860 frequency? Normally all I hear on that frequency is Washington County, Maryland (77.0Hz).

Any help with the unknowns is greatly appreciated as always.

100% lowband on the top. I'd almost wager the one on the right arm is also lowband based on the coaxial sleeve and size of the radiating element.

The picture of the trucks also clearly shows lowband antennas on them as well, so yeah, I'd say whatever it is, they're definitely still using it. On top of that, I see two-digit truck numbers on the photo of their trucks, so yeah... I'm gonna agree and say it's definitely them. Callsign KIA208.

I want to find a couple commercial-quality LB antennas so I can start an additional monitoring station. I need my CP610 back for my 10/6 station

Or maybe I'll just buy another CP610. It's more than proven it's worth.

Today's captures from Southern California. I added 37.0-37.995 in 20kHz steps to my repertoire.

Particularly curious about 37.020/146.2. Is that a repeater input? Does anyone copy any school bus traffic or a "West Base" on 39.960? That would be the output if this is in fact an input.

37.02 is the repeater side and the input is 37.240. Have heard both in parallel at times. All Police traffic.

Re: 37.980 D331 tone- I had it as West Haven CT = Winkle Bus Company. A friend in mainland Europe sent me a recording with further local references and thats exactly what it is - in case anyone runs into it.
