LifeCare Ambulance Dispatch has been added to the Lorain County 5 City System...
TGID 4460

That is one busy Talk Group at times too...

That verifies to me it's strictly a patch, probably console patch set at 911. They're patching from the VHF radio they normally use to a radio setup on the trunk.
If you see any other ID's, it means there are other radios setup for the system.
Yep, I do agree...

I have been hearing the LFD now on TGID 4240... They were doing some testing and heard them ask 911 how the "PATCH" was working...
Also, With TGID 4240 I'm seeing a constant RID/UID of 4700016

Folks, I'm merging this thread with the existing 5-City system thread.

Remember, please do not start a new thread to discuss a system when there is already an existing thread.

Did hear some chatter on TGID 4700...
Didn't catch who it was... But it looks like it might be a PATCH too... Only saw one RID/UID 4700018

Not sure which TG, but yeah, I was hearing some of the traffic from 154.370 getting dumped onto this system yesterday afternoon too. It's not there today.
Somebody's getting happy with patches...weird...

Makes me wonder about the Lorain Fire Dept though (TGID 4240)... Seen more than one UID...
Most of the hits were on a UID of 4700016
But one of the other two was the Lorain Fire Chief... Didn't catch what the other one was...

Also TGID 4730 has more than one UID... Not sure what 4730 is...

Lorain Fire Dept TGID 4240 on the 5 City System...
I am seeing muliple UID's...
I do know that UID 4700016 is the 911 call center...

I should of had it logging but I didn't...
But I noticed this on the scanner---
Just an example and happens with every UID I saw...
If a UID of 4711613 keys up for instance, as soon as it's unkeyed, UID 4700016 shows for like a fraction of a second then it's done...

Also on TGID 4700 I heard "Lorain County Dispatch" verbage come across...

Using Unitrunker I'm also seeing TG 4508 with a RID 1801919. The RID is not showing up on MARCS. I did find it on the GCRCN system showing no hits on TG 56550. 565XX is used with Cuyahoga SO.

Earlier in the day I was hearing the same traffic on 4700 as 153.3700 Lorain Co Fire TAC-14 NW Dispatch seemed like another patch.

Harris systems handle patching differently than Motorola.

A pool of patch talkgroups is assigned & one of these pool TG's is used as the supergroup when a patch is created on the console. You can't predict which TG in the pool will get used upon patch creation & the TG goes back into the pool for reuse when the patch is removed.

If this TG is part of a patch TG pool then the best you can do is ID it as a dynamically assigned patch TG.

Ok that explains TGID 4700's activity...
I know Lorain Police and Fire Dept have there own assigned TGID's...
Know body else is on them... Short of the 911 call center...

That's caused by the hang time on the VHF repeater.

In this case, they are merely tying two normal radios together, so the ID will be whatever ID is in the radio. I don't think they have tied any of the consoles directly into the system, since it's all Telex consoles.

I've recently seen RID 16777213 on the 5-City system. It shows up as "From" with Unit Registration with the event showing "Command".

I see this same RID on the GCRCN system but not attached to any talk group.

Radio ID's 16777212 to 16777215 (FFFFFD-FFFFFF) are reserved for system functions like registration messages & don't represent actual radios.
