For those in the San Diego area – I was listening yesterday during the SWAT stand-off in La Mesa and there came a point where the SWAT Leader asked the snipers to change to the “PRT Repeater” – so my question is does anyone know where, what freq(s), talk-groups or any related information about it....???

second question - again for San Diego (Fed)

I witnessed a police motorcade downtown and saw several ALL blacked out SUV's. Streets were closed down for it...NO idea what it was cant find any info on it...the freqs and TG's I have could not hear anything...

So does any one have any info on how to listen to what Feds are doing freqs being used....the TG's I have I hear a kind of static - does this mean it is a secure trans.? Any info would be great...

thank you -

"PRT Repeater is a conventional channel, 800 mhz range, but I do not know the actual frequency. I believe it stands for "portable repeater".

City has some conventional freqs. Check the FCC database. It should be one of them. I believe the PRT repeater is in all City radios and I've got the codeplug data somewhere. The conventional stuff in them was all licensed.
