I would be willing to guess that the majority of users of ADS-B / Mode-S receivers ARE simultaneously scanning the airwaves, or are using RR to "sync" audible radio ATC transmissions with visual data on-screen. In fact, I would presume that like me, many airband scanners started by listening to, recording, and feeding radio transmissions and soon realized that the ADS-B technology enables us to "see" A/C within a 150 mile radius (vs. perhaps a 30 mile radius on the best day with the average scanner and a decent antenna).

Anyways, I'm glad to see everyone elses input.... good to see that they are putting it to use! I'm just about to reposition my setup once I get the PC fixed, it will extend my coverage to the west a lot, so I'll have about 100nm+ on all sides. May not seem good, but the mountains are a PITA to get out of! Sure Mark will appreciate it
