Been testing the beta version!! Build 7 out tonight...best so far!! Getting close!! Woo Hoo!!
Is the quickkey overview working ok now?
The result can be copied to clipboard so you can paste in for example excel and then a cheat sheet can be printed with the shortcuts The HTML can be opened in a browser and then printed.

On the Virtual Control, there are two drop down boxes just below the Menu button. What are these for? (If possible, I'd suggest a label beside them).
Also perhaps, if there's room, a "ComPort" label beside the drop down box for that.
There are large Up and Down arrows. What do these do?
Lastly, I see a "Debug" checkbox. What happens when a guy checks this?
I just downloaded my first Favorites List from the software to my 436 and I receive the Nothing To Scan message. I've checked and the everything seems to be enabled...the quick key, system to monitor, etc. What am I missing?

They set Squelch/Volume. Arrows change scan direction. Debug is for testing only and creates some debug files.

A couple of things. I'm finding that it works better pressing two digits for a Favorites List Quick Key works best. For example, for Favorites List 0, I press 00 or Favorites List 1 I press 01, then hit the "E" button. That took some getting used to since I was used to the x96 series scanners and how their quick keys worked.
As noted above, the same "rules" apply to the "nothing to scan" situation (quick keys on, location control if used, being correct and service types assigned and selected as appropriate).
Yes it is a little confusing on Quick Keys. You set some quick keys one place and another quick key elsewhere. System and Department/Site Quick keys are in the Browser. The "collection" of things in the Browser that get written to the scanner generate a Favorites List and the place to assign the Favorites List Quick Key is in the Write Data window.
Hopefully when Gommert puts the finishing touches on the software he'll then tackle the User Manual and will give information on this.
One thing I've found I must take caution with when writing data to the scanner. There is a box to enable Quick Keys after upload. This is checked by default. What that appears to do is turn on al Favorites List Quick Keys, even those I have off on purpose.
I think the program is setting everything in my programming to a Number Tag of 0. Is it possible to have it leave all the Number Tags to the default of None?
I tried the 00 and 01 method and still the problem exists...both favorites lists are being scanned no matter if I select 00 or 01. Actually 00 is a separate quick key from 0 and 01 from 1. You've identified another bug in this software. Also, the software is automatically adding a system quick key of 0 for each system. Any comments from Butel on these issues?
