Has anyone seen any activity on CMARC related to Baltimore operations? I mean seriously, what is this system for anyway? A multi jurisdictional system that is essentially useless in a multi agency / multi jurisdiction response. Seems to me to be a colossal waste of resources squandered on fuel trucks at Martin State Airport....

Or are you saying they are hitting the AACO system direct? You are right... they would reach AA County from the city.

I've been monitoring the AA County/Baltimore site of CMARC all day. Have not even heard a fuel truck. It was competing in a scanner with FiRST, but I think I would have caught something if there was anything other than a quick conversation.

I'm thinking that the AACo units are using AACo radios on the AACo system while in Baltimore.... It's either that, or the special operations section is running an intel operation in areas that border the city.

On a related matter, there was a melee at the Annapolis Mall food court Saturday evening that didn't make the news... Look for the video on the Capital newspaper site.

Sounds like Anne Arundel County is moving more officers and sheriffs deputies to Northern District of the county to prevent any issues from moving south into the county.

Edit: Sounds like Eastern District is also moving officers to the City/County line in their district too.

Been watching the coverage. What are the blue lights flashing on top of light poles for?

Those are crime camera positions. The city police have an extensive network of cameras throughout the city's high crime areas. Some are permanently mounted, and others are moved around the city depending on current crime stats.

To add to that, if you hear a unit calling c/s CITYWATCH, that's the unit that monitors those.

Heard some officers giving descriptions to CITYWATCH today until they found the person and then CITYWATCH kept an eye on that person for them.

Anne Arundel just advised they are holding Northern District over for the next couple hours. Eastern District is holding some units over too.

There was some activity in Southern just north of and on the edge of the AA County line prior to the curfew last night. Believe several arrests were made in that area. AA was probably watching to ensure the crowd didn't get pushed south across the line.

Truck 1 is the main MSP mobile command vehicle. It's a 56' long high tech C3 office on wheels.
