The battery on my 325 drains very fast. Is there any way to reduce battery drainage?

And the same applies to charging cablea.
Bought a couple of fancy cables with LED power indicators 'cause they were cheap, both stopped working after a while.
The only brands I trust for charging cables:

Unfortunately no. Would have been nice if uniden built this with 3 batteries. Reason why I use a usb battery.

I have the BT-C3100.
Think the only difference between the two models is that the BT-C3400 can also charge rechargeable lithium cells.
