You may be eligible to receive a larger battery for your SDS100..

If you've registered an SDS100 then later sold or returned it, please delete the scanner from your list of owned models.
We really want the person who has the scanner to get the battery.* Additional validation will be done before these shipments go out.

To ensure that we are sending batteries to real addresses, we are requiring that the address on your*https://my.uniden.comaccount be verified.
Log into your*https://my.uniden.com*account and then click on "Edit My User Account" in the right-side menu.

Check your address details and edit as needed. Then, at the bottom of that page click the check box next to "Yes, I confirm that this address is valid for shipping in case you need to send something to me."

At this time, we do not have a confirmed date on the availability of these batteries.

Uniden America sells and supports products sold in the United States and Canada. For products either purchased outside of USA/Canada or purchased in USA/Canada and then taken to other areas, we are unable to provide direct support for repair, warranty replacement, or other fulfillment issues. We are unable to directly ship to addresses outside of the USA/Canada. If you live outside of the USA/Canada and need such support, you will need to have a contact with an address in the USA to work as an intermediary or agent on your behalf.

Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on Uniden.

How many times are you people going to do the same thing, spend good money, and expect a different outcome? As was aptly stated, These things are toys.

Do us a favor don't buy the next one

I have a total of 5 Uniden scanners (396, 436, HP1, HP2 and SDS100) and they've all performed as their supposed to. I don't expect a "different outcome."

I have the 436, 536 and SDS100. I bought all of them as soon as they were released. I love getting things early, I love blowing my money on stuff like this. Every scanner I bought had some minor issues that Uniden always fixed. They never gave anyone a hard time. Yet I read these boards and all these people ***** about things all the time. Before you buy something from Uniden, make sure you get everything you exactly want. Uniden will send out the battery, yes the scanner isn't perfect, yes it doesn't have all the things everyone wants. Who cares. Stop whining, make this constructive. You will get the battery, you will get the clock issue fixed on the 436/536. Again, don't buy it if you are going to whine.
Board Admins, can you create a section of the Uniden board and put "Uniden Whiners" so these folks have an island they can enjoy themselves?? Do you honestly think Paul or anyone at Uniden cares what they have to say especially when they threaten them. These guys probably sit back and laugh and say, what a loser.....

At this time, we do not have a confirmed date on the availability of these batteries.

But they're sending them out with new scanners, so is that statement accurate? Maybe it should say, "At this time, we do not have a confirmed date on the availability of these batteries for you."

I didn’t get the email, but then again I also followed the instructions and went into the portal earlier this week to confirm my address as Paul asked us to.

I received the email about the battery as well.

A word of caution to anyone that may have previously confirmed their address, I did when the first post was made by Paul here about confirming the shipping address. I almost did not go back into the Portal because I had already confirmed my shipping address a week ago or so. But I also found the problem with the State not sticking in the drop box or form after I updated the info and confirmed my address.

Well it was a good thing I decided to go into the Portal per the email instructions because for some reason my prior confirmation of my mailing address was unchecked! So I AGAIN confirmed my ship to address and also noticed that the State was still shown after I submitted the confirmation.

So DOUBLE check the Portal even if you had confirmed your address before you receive the email this week.

Myself and several others have tried to buy your Uniden Scanners Listed for sale but you do not answer messages. Now I have bought from others.

Very true. Not only did I not buy this one, nor will I buy the next one, I sold previous models that were horrific, such as the 436. I will admit to liking the HP-2 very much, as I've said repeatedly in the past. I have a 352 P2 which aint bad either, even though it's currently out for repair....

As for my response to messages, my e-mail address was clearly listed in this for sale postings and yet I received none from interested parties. I rarely check messages on RR, and upon checking today saw none from interested buyers.

Thankfully, we have eBay and Amazon......

As far as emails received regarding the battery... The morning I made a post here that I thought it would be a good idea for Uniden to update information regarding the battery now that August had come and gone Paul posted the new thread regarding getting ready for the new battery. I updated my information and it's stuck and remains checked verified. I did get an email saying did you make this update and if not notify us. That's the last I've heard. From what Paul said it sounds like if you didn't get a head start and verify your mailing address or perhaps it didn't take, then you would get an email saying that you need to verify your address.
