I'm in Nazareth, Northampton County. I'm using the Antennacraft ST-2, pointed in the general direction of Berks County. The ST-2 is set up in my garage, only about 3 feet off the ground.

Also using the Uniden HP 2 scanning the North site only. South is avoided. For the most part, the system sounds great from here. Most of the time I get low error rates with P25 in auto mode.

I've been wanting to do a video of the HP 2 on the Berks system, but I keep getting side tracked with household projects. I'll try to get back on track this week and get the video done.

The last few days been picking up talk on 453.2125 PL156.7 live in Wind Gap area until today could not place the frequency. They were talking to #141 responding to working vehicle fire which was out upon arrival but heavy smoke condition in structure it was near. The dispatcher asked if they had berks frequencies #141 asked to be patched via U-Tac41 interop for near by county?

Are we logging these into the data base as we find them , since did not see them listed yet the U-TAC Frequencies?

No, the national interop channels are supposed to be listed once in the database at the national level. The only exception would be if any of the channels are being used with an alternate PL for a special use in a local area (i.e. Chester County uses the national 800 tac channels with an alt PL and calls them 8Ches91, 8Ches 92, etc).

There are several instances of 155.475 being included on county pages around the state. Eventually, they should be deleted, too.

This note is already listed under the Berks County interoperability subcategory:

These frequencies are legacy channels from the old VHF Hi and lowband systems and are used for out of county unit interop. All legacy channels are patched to talkgroups on the trunked system. VCall/VTac, UCall/UTac, and 8Call/8Tac interop channels are also in use and are patched to corresponding talkgroups on the trunked system. VLAW31 (old PD National) is also patched into the trunked system. Nationwide interop channels are found here: Interoperability Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

I'm using a Uniden BCD536HP I have good signal but can't get any audio half the time.

The only thing I'm scanning is the north and South site for County Fire and City Fire.

I'm using the antenna that came with it, I read a lot of stuff about people using the small antenna Radio Shack sells. I got one and haven't seen any difference at all. Is anyone else having this problem and what did you do to correct it?

For example there's an incident going right now, I can hear them fine on my portable but nothing on the scanner.

I had to change the Berks system to P25 X2-TDMA to hear anything on my 436HP. Trouble is you need to have ARC536 to make the change. It can't be done in Sentinel. I attached an hpe file of the Berks system as X2-TDMA. Import to Sentinel and see if it helps.

Good luck...

I know that Berks is simulcasting the Fire A & B channels to Legacy freqs.. does anyone know if they are simulcasting the Ops channels as well and if so what freqs are they simulcasting them to?
