I don't seem to be able to scan Bolingbrook PD Dispatch off the Dupage county simulcast in recent days. Bolingbrook Fire Dept. comes through just fine. I also am picking up the police Tac. channels o.k. Anyone else having this problem or can suggest a fix? I'm using a Uniden SDS100.

the temporary change a Tac channel must of gave the techs time to reprogram all the radios and have channel 1 main dispatch be an encrypted channel.

I read on another group that Bolingbrook PD is now encrypted.

I was up in Bolingbrook back in late October visiting some family and friends. One of those friends is a Bolingbrook officer. He said the department had plans to move their communications to full encryption in early 2021 for a variety of reasons. It was also mentioned that DuPage County law enforcement will be going encrypted in the not to distant future.

I monitor Wescom daily and a few days ago they were using A tac channel for dispatch.
I have a G-5 parked on only Bolingbrook for a day and a half now and the only thing I have gotten is Fire dispatch.
So sad! I have been listening to Bolingbrook since the mis 70,s.

Well said, enjoy what you can as long as you can. I missing listening to Naperville till they switched to BrokenSky.... I get to hear the Naperville FD patch’s occasionally when towns run auto or mutual aid.

The Ville is never going back in the clear . Looking at multiple keys , rotating on a regular basis. I predict that you will see FD comms going encrypt in the future . I have listened to radio since the mid-sixties , starting with a Patrolman 6. Old zone dispatch in Wheaton ( pre DuCom) It is a shame, but the times are encouraging agencies to go quiet.
