A previous poster in this topic got one and said no hum. With a 100% Return Guarantee/No Restocking fee , just buy one and if it hums or is not to your satisfaction return it.

I was very surprised when I received mine a few days ago with no hum. At that price, it's hard to pass up.

I received my new SDS200 from gear4less today. They shipped 2nd day FedEx and it's the first one that does not have the Humm. Yeah!
Serial # 098003xxx.

It was too good to be true, slowly but surely my new SDS200 developed the hum in less than 2 months. I went ahead and did the mod.

Warranty isn't that big of a deal anyway, it's unlikely to be needed. Even with a few problems reported here, most users will never use the warranty.

Correct! I think Paul dismissed the fear of no warranty claiming the warranty would be honored.
