The tones are louder by design.Yeah, but up to yesterday, I wouldn't hear the tones, just voice. The tones are much louder than the voice on mine so I can't turn it down without lowering what they're saying.

Correct. Every law enforcement TG on the new system is 100% encrypted.
No scanner will decode them anymore.
Anybody else getting those annoying county dispatch tones now? I'm hearing them on both radios now.
Yep everyone is correct, your rebranded GRE scanner, a classic in its day did very well with the old 500 megahertz type II smartzone system but it will not work on the new P2 tdma simulcast system.Ok, I'm beyond green to all this scanner info so I apologize in advance. I have a WS1065 in Mount Laurel. If I'm reading this thread correctly, my scanner is useless for hearing any police activity now?
So, how did you unmute them? I'll just do the opposite.Oh I see. I'm used to hearing the tones. With my new SDS I wasn't hearing the tones til Policefreak talked me thru opening it back up.
Sorry for the delay. Here's what to do...So, how did you unmute them? I'll just do the opposite.
I meant to say inter-op channels.sorryAm hearing a one sided conversation on 3403 this morning. Any idea who uses the Interior channels?
Is tag 3118 in the clear no Encryption on the tagI'm hearing both sides? Pretty sure it is a traffic detail...also can anyone figure out what the heck TGID 3118 is? They're giving water temps of all things.
Team,
Where there is a monetary value to be earned, there will be a solution to PD encryption!
But give me a call if you come across one checkchange. That solution would earn you an extended stay in Federal Prison, so I highly suggest you not say another word about that.
And on his second post on RR!That solution would earn you an extended stay in Federal Prison, so I highly suggest you not say another word about that.
Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately you may have discovered that even while following the inverse of rrpratt's instructions you cannot get rid of the tones. The station tones are now also transmitting the PL Tone 127.3 along with the voice dispatch. So theres no longer a way to just get the voice dispatch without the tones. This is likely to do with the F-1 patch being set up on the new 700 system.Sorry for the delay. Here's what to do...
Hold on F-1. To do so press the CHANNEL button.
Press E/YES button. Highlight EDIT CURRENT CHANNEL and press E/YES. Highlight SET AUDIO TYPE and press E/YES. Highlight ALL and press E/YES. Press the left unmarked key below the screen (usually SYSTEM key) to resume.
See if this works for ya.
