Thank you!

I'm a little surprised that they are using the same control channels and NAC for both site 30 and 40, given that they are likely not going to be too far from each other. They are also sharing control channels and NAC between site 2 and 22 that aren't really that far from each other as well.

If the overlap is minimal enough, it's easy enough to share NAC/CC/SCC/etc., between close hills.

Yea, kinda like simulcast just with different traffic being broadcast on the same frequencies :)

I'm pretty sure it's not advisable to have frequency overlap especially if those frequencies are used as voice channels, it'll work but the radios in the overlap area are not going to be very happy about it.

Finally heard some action on site 4 today. Sounded like tech's testing, but they said they were headed to LA and San Diego. TG 438,

TG 1302 was also heard on Santiago (site 30) on 2021-05-28. I've listened sporadically on several days since then and heard no traffic.

I had this audio recorded and that's basically what happened. Audio quality through DSDPlus was pretty miserable. Interestingly enough, it wasn't in Phase 2. I think I heard them say the RID 0 user was patched in from Sacramento.

Loma update. 3 second key up TG 149 this morning. No voice. No CHP traffic as others have reported. Seems to be stand alone for now.

TG 1701 just fired on Santiago (Site 30). Sounded like breathing and nothing more, but there you have it.

According to sdrtrunk it also fired on Lukens (Site 29). These two sites often mirror each other with activity.

Update: Coming across again on 1701. Half of the conversation is encrypted. One guys said "Where ya at?" And then "Well, sounds like you're sitting right next to me!"

Also, on Site 30 the VC is 774.29375 this time around.

Boucher Hill San Diego County
Cuyamaca Peak San Diego County

able to take a spin around the 769-775 MHz band to see if you hear anything?

I am closest to the Boucher Hill one on that list but still a good distance away. Biggest problem for me is poor antenna and old receiver (that is a bit out-of-tune). So far nothing but local interference between those band limits. But I'll keep checking from time-to-time.

I can hear 800 MHz on Conway Summit and Crestview Peak. I can hear VHF High from Sherwin Summit, but I'm not so sure of 700/800 MHz. Mainly because there hasn't been anything at that site with those higher frequencies. I will try another day as we are now listening to radio traffic following a 5.9 earthquake in the north end of the county.
