I see your playlist there and I've made it public.

I'm going to look to use your playlist as a test to add to the Nolan County normal broadcastify page this weekend. In the mean time you can use that link to share with whomever you want.

If they want to get "caught up" they'll need to get caught up by clicking on one of the individual frequencies. Received calls for playlists are stored in memory and we only keep them in memory for 10 minutes.

I just really need for the few regular listeners of my node to be able to play it. I also have a stream and have plenty of people that listen to that. There have been several people that have created accounts so they can listen to my node, not all are premium but the more the better, I think. If I'm not going to be able to share my node as it used to be shared then there is really no reason for me to continue it. It has been a really fun and enjoyable hobby that I have spent quite a bit of money and a lot of time to get and keep going. And there are going to be quite a few people in my small county that are going to be very disappointed.
What's the difference between your node and legacy stream?
A stream comes straight from a scanner and is a constant, live stream. With Nodes each call is recorded, then the file created is uploaded to the server to be played back at anytime.

Ok, thank you very much. I will let everyone know.

Confirm if I'm seeing this right:

I made a playlist for my County page (node 2800/Lake Co Indiana). If I "capture" a TG with one playlist I then can't find it if I want to add that TG to another playlist. I've tried it with a few different TGs from the same system.

You can add talkgroups to a playlist from a number of sources. Use the coverage browser as a starting point

Yeah it's weird. It's not letting me add the same TG from the same node into two separate playlists. I'll try going at it another way. I have a playlist with every dispatch TG in for Lake County Indiana, but if I try to make another playlist some of those TGs are missing.

I'll play with it some more.

Regarding calls being stored for only 10 mins in memory for playlists, for my feed, just for instance, if it where a number of calls like, say 20 or 30, then it would be very much similar to the Node. Also just a thought...
But that's just not how it works. I'm sorry.

Calls that populate a playlist are stored in memory for performance reasons. We don't have unlimited memory and resources.

And I know you are laser focused on the concept of your individual node, what it provides, and what you previously saw by playing back your node, but the second someone else in Nolan County decides to provide a node that covers what you are covering, everything changes.

You're going to have to walk me through, step by step, what "it's not letting me" actually means.

Isn't it more or less just a link to a file that is already being stored for 30 or so days anyway?
But ok. And someone else creating a node in a county of 14,000 people not likely to happen.
In my small county the departments work together often and sometimes switches between frequencies so, to have had for the last 2 years the ability to play them all at once and suddenly not be able to, is a big deal.

If a unit in your county is traveling, transporting a prisoner / patient or what not, and is near a node that has a faster processor or internet connection, your node becomes null and void. Thats just how things work. I have a medical helicopter stationed at my local rural hospital. When the helo is in town and on power (radio on), and hear all the other helo's in the state on my scanner and sometimes node. When the helo is transporting, I hear nothing on my scanner or node. If I want to hear the helo traffic while it is out of town, I have to rely on other nodes via... PLAYLIST. If they cut the power on the helo to work on it, the radio shuts off, I'm back to hearing nothing locally - again, replying on other nodes where the other helo's are at.

We've disabled listening via individual nodes, except for node owners.

Now that we rolled out our new call management back end system which votes on nodes for individual talkgroups, we've received a ton of support requests from people listening via individual nodes that they no longer hear talkgroups on nodes.

Given that a node is not guaranteed to supply a talkgroup to Calls, there is no viable reason for us to enable listening via an individual node any longer, except to allow node owners the ability to monitor the quality of traffic received by their node.

Node Owners: if your node is not capturing talkgroups for specific talkgroups, DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED. You are encouraged to keep broadcasting your node, because the system constantly votes and reevaluates, and another person's node may go offline for a period of time. The health of the network only gets stronger when we have lots of nodes participating in the system.
My only concern is when I hear a junk call (garbled, bad reception, etc.) that I know my node would have otherwise caught, I use to use the other nodes to track down the source of the junk call. Those junk calls will sometimes poison the playlist. I used to send out friendly reminders if I tracked it down... Broadcastify Calls ingest friendly reminder...
Will there be a way to report / pause / skip calls when a node is uploading junk calls?

The systems in my county use a Conventional P-25 not Trunked. Not the same.

All you have to do is create a playlist with the 4 channels you are covering. you can play them all at once. We made you a public playlist for just that. you cannot guarantee that another node won’t pop up. We are going in circles here now.

There is a method to report a problem with a node, however it’s hidden with the recent update yesterday. I’ll bring it back more prominently this weekend.
