You need to within 1000 ft to hear the firegrounds

They told us at our meeting about 2 miles. We tried them all out and we're getting 1000 feet at best. Hope they have a channel for us on an LDH Task Force assignment.

Drop the PL on the Freq and you'll hear the tones.

800 MHz freqs

I see in the frequency database that there are 3 channels in the Cam County trunked system that are 800 MHz while all the rest are 700 MHZ. I thought that all had to be in the 700 MHz range. Anyone know why this is?

700 and 800 can easily be mixed in the same system. Although they are technically separate portions of the spectrum, they are almost always treated as a single band 700/800. Look at any manufacturer's infrastructure equipment (i.e. repeaters) or radios and you'll see that if they cover 700 MHz, they also cover 800 MHz.

Towns missing under 700 MHz in Freq Database

I don't see Clementon or Brooklawn Boroughs in the Freq Database for the 700 MHz system. Does anyone know what regions they're in? I would think Clementon would be in South Ops & Brooklawn in West Ops but not sure. Also, West Collingswood Heights is not a municipality. It's a section of Haddon Twp like Westmont is.

Brooklawn = West Region
Clementon = South Region

And West Collingswood Hts. section of Haddon Twp. is in the West Region vs. the rest of Haddon Twp. which is in the North Region. WCH is a separate area of Haddon Twp. remember. It's by FD not necessarily municipality. Also Ancora is South and Lakeland is West (these are FDs not municipalities).

Thanks for update. Didn't view Ancora or Lakeland as municipal since they're run by state and county respectively and have separate district numbers from the towns they're in. Are any other municipalities split besides Haddon Twp? Haven't heard Lakeland dispatched in a long time. Thought the county disbanded due to budget cuts. Does Lakeland still have EMS too or is that gone?

Ancora is on the south, you'll hear there truck sign on South (2616), Lakeland kinda is disbanded. I don't remember the full story but they have a office in the fire academy and stations 85 and 86 handle the calls on the fire side. No other municipalities are split, it just so happens that the other side of Haddon Twp falls between Audobon and Gloucester City. The other half of Haddon Twp is on the East. Lakeland never had EMS, that's always been handled by Gloucester Twp EMS.

Lakeland did have EMS when I worked for the county. It was Squad 28-1 (before county changed the designation from "squad" to "BLS") and was housed with Engine 28-1. Don't know when that was disbanded but probably quite awhile ago. Gloucester Twp was backup for EMS calls at that time.

Oh, my bad! I didn't know they had one. Always heard GT EMS go.

What about county wide OME and the interop talk groups? Also are there going to be anymore fire/ EMs channels?

I was just looking at the database. I am assuming that F1-4 are the "North Ops", "South Ops", "East Ops"
and "West Ops" I here the dispatcher announce during the dispatch. Also are these simplex or repeater output frequencies. I'm off work for the next 6 days and plan to play around with the frequencies and my scanners.
