Laurel Springs, Stratford, Somerdale and Gibbsboro are still on the 500 MHz band. I hear county dispatching still on VHF but they tell the dispatched companies to operate on *** OPS. The *** means West, East OPs.

Edit 1. Add Clementon and Lindenwold.

I am testing a feed for the new 700 MHz Camden County system today. Fire and EMS moved over to it today at 0700 hours.

The link to the feed is at:

phillyscanner.bounceme.net:5000

Open it up as a stream in Winamp, WMP, or iTunes.

Since I am using my only available PSR-800 to do this I may stop the feed at any time or use the scanner to receive other broadcasts.

Enjoy!

Please let me know how things sound. Note that some mobiles are low because they are not holding their mics correctly (per County).

Again this is not an official feed, just me testing :)

Alerting for all companies except Camden and Cherry Hill will be done on 154.43. Camden alerting will be done on their separate alert talkgroup, Cherry Hill will be alerted on their separate alert talkgroup, and University EMS will be alerted on N-OPS talkgroup.

Let's re-phrase that:

Alerting for all companies except Camden FD, University EMS, and Cherry Hill FD/EMS will be done on 154.43 and these companies will respond on their respective OPS talkgroups (N-OPS, S-OPS, E-OPS, W-OPS)

Camden FD will be alerted on their own alerting talkgroup and respond on the N-OPS talk group.

University EMS will be alerted and respond on the N-OPS talk group.

Cherry Hill FD and EMS will be alerted on their own talkgroup and respond on the E-OPS talk group.

Hope this clears things up :)

Kudos to 4401 and the other radio techs and operators at the Camden County alarm room. The system sounds awesome and so far the only issues are low volume from users not holding their mics correctly.

Forgot to mention if the response is on a highway (such as I-295, I-76, I-676, etc) units will respond on the HWYOPS-1 talkgroup (similar to how the F-6 South Jersey Net frequency was used previously).

Added Talk Groups - Can't Add

Anyone able to help me with this ?

Radio Reference Data Lib. shows all of the Talk groups on the Fire/EMS System up to and including the Encrypted Talk Groups like Police Inter-Ops and Haz-Mat that the PSR800 can not receive - Release Date shows 5/5/13

When I go in to up-date my scanner and complete the steps I 'm still left with N-OPS W-OPS, E-OPS, S-OPS, and the associated TAC1 Channels (8 total) I can not add the latest channel updates to include Highway Ops, Camden Fire Dispatch, Cherry Hill Fire Dispatch, Fireground Channels.......

to simplify, following the RR Data Base and GRE Up-Date Instructions I can not put the following TG into my PSR800
TG - 203 204 213 214 223 224 233 234 241 242 243 244 205 225 Is there a way to add these

Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know I will be taking down the feed test later this evening. I am tying up my only available PSR800 for this test feed. My other one is used for my RR PPD feed.

thanks for the positive feedback!

Joe, first of all, thank you for running the Camden feed, it sounds great. Do you plan on keeping your PPD feed up for the foreseeable future? The reason I ask is because I run my own PPD feed on my own, and I am considering taking it down. There is no sense in having 2 feeds for PPD, whether they are both on RR or not.

What I may be able to do, then, is switch this feed to Camden County, since the scanner used is a PSR-800. This would be a temporary move until Camco911 gets his feed setup. To Camco911: Do you have any estimate as to when you will have your feed ready?

No problem Dan,

You have a great idea! I plan to keep the Philly feed for a while - at least until we move to Florida permanently in about a year or so. So you are correct, there's no need for duplicate feeds.

Putting Camden County online temporarily until Rich can get up and running is a great idea too. Let's all coordinate this via email. I also have some ideas what talkgroups should and should not be included in the feed. I can give you my suggestions.

thanks!

Sure, Joe. Shoot me a PM with your e-mail, and we can go from there. My plan was to only carry the fire side, since the police side is all jacked anyways...

To all, I should have my Camden County feed up and running later on tonight (Friday) around 10pm or so. I will post the relevant info here to get to it once it's up.
