It sounded like a parade or some kind of event. On TGID 222 and 223. Also heard traffic on TGID 246 just now.

Just fyi it sounds like all Camden City Fire operations only will be on North Tac 1 channel TGID 202 until 1900 hours today. It sounds as if BLS operations and dispatch will still be on TGID 201.

hi
i understand that the new system only works with the Psr 800, but i was wondering has anyone even tried to use any other digital scanners with this system?

Yes, tried it to see if it worked in a PSR 600 and it did not work at all!

Im hearing some dispatches for towns outside of cherry hill on TGID 225. Also hearing some camden units on East ops. Camden fire still dispatched on TGID 205 and operating on North Tac 1.

I just entered in a few Radio IDs for the County system. Cherry Hill fire I'm pretty sure based on information here, that these are actually mobiles. All have been confirmed by hearing each 4 times with the same identifier at different times of the day.

Hi dwrinn,

Try a 700 or 800 MHz Yagi pointed directly at a tower. I am lucky that the nearest tower for me is only about a half mile away. Hence the good reception on the feed.

Tried setting up Camden county system and the Philadelphia system on both a RS Pro-18 and a Uniden BCD996T. Neither system went through on the Pro-18 but most of the Philly system went through on the BCD996T.

If you follow Kresson Rd, cross Evesham, and turn right at Centennial Blvd, you'll come to the Voorhees public works site. It's NOT the tower next to the shack.

There's also a tower at the end of perina blvd off Marlkress road at the Cherry Hill Public works building. That tower also carries the two 800 frequencies, which I don't know if the voorhees tower does. Also take into account whether you are near a cell phone tower. That will throw interference.

Ok where do i get an 700 or 800 mhz yagi atenna? Can someone recommend one?/

You can start by searching the web for dealers that sell 700/800 MHz Yagi antennas. They can be expensive - the more elements the better gain and directivity the antenna has but also more expensive. And keep in mind even if you spend $100 - $150 on the antenna, it still may not reduce the LSM! This is not something that is cut and dry - it is experimental.
