To eliminate the interference caused by the LSM, either you need a directional antenna like a yagi, or be closer to a tower site. There are no portable directional antennas large enough to perform the task. Until the scanner manufacturers add circuitry to combat this problem, this is going to be a problem going forward. Unfortunately, if you are mobile, you will have to live with the problem. At least you may be able to reduce or eliminate the problem in a base environment.

how big is your atenna. I live with my mom and dad, and i don't think i can mount an attena to my house. What is the smallest antenna you could recommend? i would be willing to try a antenna as long as i could keep it in my room. can you please help me?

a 6 or 7 element Yagi would be approximately 2 feet long. I think scanner master sells Yagi antennas. A low 800 MHz antenna should work. Again as I said before, this idea may NOT work. I would check to see if you can return the antenna if it does not fix the problem. Remember special orders sometimes can't be returned. Also you may need an N connector to BNC adapter since most of these Yagis have N female connectors. And you would need some coax cable to connect to the scanner.

can the pro 106 pick up this new system when the other departments go online if they aren't encrypted and is Gloucester Twp going on or they staying on their P25 Frequency And also what about Camden City and Cherry Hill thank you 4 any info

gloucester twp. nj is on digital 500. mhz it is not encrypted at this time. They use nac 192 for ch 2 their main dispatch band. The secondary band is still on analog.

Did the medics change their id numbers with camden county fire when they switched to the 700mhz frequencies?

Virtua medic numbers have not changed.... ID's 4x Camden County based, 3x Burlington County based. They often cross from one county to the other as needed.

Am I crazy? Or has anyone listened to the system today and noticed some new frequencies popping up? So far I have the following: 857.1375, 857.6625, 858.6875, 859.0375. Can someone else confirm? Also had someone who lives just over the county border and who had trouble picking up the two 854 frequencies tell me that last night reception was unusually bad. Wondering if that's why.

Those four frequencies were recently licensed under the following callsigns:

WQRB813
WQRB814
WQRB815

I'll add them to the system.

Oh and to answer the second part of your question:

All things being equal, you may experience decreased signal as the frequency increase. So, assuming all of the repeaters are the same hardware, with the same output power, going into the same antenna with the same gain...you could very well see stronger signals on the 700 MHz frequencies versus the 800 MHz frequencies outside of the intended coverage area.

Or decide not to show up to calls as needed near shift changes.

Anyone else notice the quality of reception on the County Fire Dispatch F-1 channel lately? I am finding it spotty in some areas. Especially in the lower end of Gloucester Twp. (Sicklerville), All of Winslow Twp. & border of CamCo/BurlCo Marlton/Voorhees areas. I actually used to be able to monitor all the way out to the Southampton/Pemberton border. Just wondering if the county or radio tech's eliminated some old towers/antenna's when the new system went online.

Helicopter Operations Channel. Which I believe is patched to SJ Net. Just like when there is a Highway Box.

I have a question that no one seems to know the answer to. What is the back system in case the trunking system crashes? I know Burlington has the WAR and 11 "back up to TRS" channels. Does Camden county fall back to the VHF channels or go to cell phones? The portables I have seen some have ITAC programmed but can the county monitor them?
