I heard that a few firefighters were setting the truck up for training when the arm wouldn't extend (I believe something in the main hoist may have snapped?)... there may have been more to it then that.. but i don't know. It was completely over-hauled in red-deer though

From what I saw this past weekend; Every CFD boat was naturally being utilized, and few spare trucks being used downtown (Engines/Aerials/Bush Buggy's/Hazmat/etc..) Three Fire Stations were closed that I know of (#1/#6/#15) There could have been more.... I never saw any trucks from stations #1/#2/ or #6.. but i assume they were all in different parts of the flood zone helping out

It appears YYC is/has received two Oshkosh 8x8 Strikers... there on Oshkosh's Facebook Page.
CFD is starting to get behind in equipment again... heard a rumour that CFD is just going straight to manufacturers instead of tendering trucks out.. I believe the Chief likes Pierce PUC pumpers.... just what i hear though..

I'm a little confused. Is CFD running unit E5504 as an engine or an aerial? I got pictures of it today and it is marked as 16 Engine. I know it has been identified as both in the past.

Cheers,
JR
