I'm a little confused. Is CFD running unit E5504 as an engine or an aerial? I got pictures of it today and it is marked as 16 Engine. I know it has been identified as both in the past.
I'd say its running as both (Quint) I was in Station #16 three weeks ago, and it was running with a crew of 4 firefighters.. CFD seems to be switching back and forth with between Engines and Aerials with all of there Aerials that have pumps and water on them.......... This could be a switch of man power... like have the Quint at #16 run as a Engine and move the current Engine #16 to a different hall, etc... But I could be wrong...

It appears CFD Engine #20 (E4504) - 2004 Spartan Gladiator / Superior (1250/500/30A/CAFS) (SN#SE 3274) actually caught fire and wasn't in motor vehicle collision as I first thought... IT appears Spartan Chassis refurbished they existing truck.. Pictures of Engine #20 are on Spartan Chassis, inc. FaceBook page

Thanks for the info. Just checked out the pictures. When did the fire in the cab happen and what caused it?
Sorry JR, I don't have those answers for you. But I do remember the truck being pulled out of service a few months ago.. Obviously the truck has been repaired, and should now be back in the city

Can anyone confirm that Station #41 is running an Engine and Quint? Station #41 is currently labelled as having :
- 41 Aerial (E5308) - 2008 Spartan/Smeal quint (1250/480/25A/105') (SN#805030)
- 41 Engine (E3900) - 2000 E-One Cyclone II / Superior pumper (1250/500/15F)
Thanks in advance

That's the Engine they are running, but I can't confirm the Aerial as there hasn't been any activity for it that I've heard.

Major maintenance day? Major training being conducted? Other?

A lot of Engines are out of their areas today and so much so, there aren't enough Squads to cover them all. For example - Air Light 7 is covering 1's area, Hazmat 4 for 4, Rescue 8 for 20.

Anyone know what is happening today?

I can't say what happened that day.. but thats pretty serious when theres not enough Squads to cover for Engines.
Do you know if Engine #27 still has there Quint and is still in Station #22?

Although it doesn't get much action, heard Aerial 41 get sent out this morning, so yes - an Engine and an Aerial there.

I know for sure Quint #19 (Q0611) has moved to Station #41 and has become #41 Aerial.. There is a second truck in Station #19.. it looked like a Spare Engine.. Possibly a Squad? Does some one know if #24 Station has a Engine and Aerial or are they just running a Quint as an Engine still? anyone here #27 Engine on the air these days?

Sorry that upload is horrible.. I will try to upload a better picture with other CFD apparatus pictures later on..

Thank you Mr.Velvet!!! I wonder what other changes CFD has made with mini-Bronto's, Quints and probably the Bronto and Platform #16. Here is Quint #41
