If Station 27 is in service then I better head to Coventry hills and find them.

It’s not in Coventry Hills though. 27 Station is the “NE Industrial Station” so it should be around the north end of the airport, along Coventry Hills Blvd, or close to. It has to be a strategically placed Station - close to main roads and easy access in and out

I have found Station 27!!!! It is located at 110-11358 Barlow Trail NE It is a cozy and cute little 1 level leased space. It has a 2 bay wide by 1 1/2 bay deep apparatus floor and lots of space for a kitchen, comms room, sleep quarters, etc.. it can only fit 1 engine and 1 Aerial. they could squeeze a bush buggy in, but that's tight........ But there is finally Aerial coverage in that part of the NE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also an FYI CFD is keeping good to there fleet switch process which makes sense, so to keep all Engines, Aerials, Rescues, etc.. roughly around the same KM's, etc.. trucks move around from busy stations to slow stations and in the Quints case the Spare fleet... So its going to be fun trying to always keep up with which actual truck is in which station. At least the number plaque system will pay off for CFD :D

With the 2018 budget cuts to CFD (+ the discussions with providing staffing for the ARFF at YYC), it will be interesting to see when they start building Station 27's permanent station at 80 Ave and 36 St,

So, apparently 23 is suppose to get a rescue unit soon (along with its current aerial and engine.)
I heard this along time ago, but it seems with all the apparatus movements and changes, i wouldnt be surprised if they wait until the new rescues are in service to put it out. I heard this info from one of the crew members of Engine 23. Also, E46 is in a spare 2006 Engine right now I believe.

Would those Ford Transit vans be for the Chiefs or maintenance vehicles?

The ford Transit vans are probably replacing the current 2003 Chevy Savanna's for training, staff, events, etc..

The District Chief vans are replaced every 8 or 9 years? But CFD could always change that. I hope they would stick with the high roof Sprinters. They seem to work really well the way they are set up.

Station 6 has a rescue now? .. or a second Engine?

Confirmed E48 now at 6, unknown where Aquatics 6 and Water Rescue 6 are.

Correction: Engine 48 was filling in for E6 as Boat Tow 6 and Aquatics 6 were on a call, and they're both cross staffed by Aerial 6 & Engine 6's crew. And there was a spare Rescue in station 8, and a spare Engine in Station 6.

MRU 2 IS in Station 2, in the far left bay when facing the station head-on. Unsure if it's cross-staffed by Engine 49, or if it's waiting for the crew.

Also alittle Spare update: Rescue 8 is running the spare 2003 Freightliner, and Engine 6 is still running the spare 2006 Spartan Gladiator. Besides that, i don't know of any other spares.

Aerial 11 and Aerial 19 have switched. maybe the Smeal rear-mount is a little to tight for 11's first run area..?

Engine 33 and 34 are both running 2010 Rosenbauers

Has anyone seen or heard of Engine 42 being around?

As we speak E6 and A6 are both spares. (E6 has been a spare for a long time...mayve the 2006 truck is permanently replacing E6?)

Hey all, as you have probably realized with these 35 Smeal Engines entering/in-service all of the 98's/00's and probably most, if not all the 04's Engines will be retired from service. That means the 04's (if not retired) 06's/08's and possiably some 2010's will become Spare Engines. With this of course the 2010 Rosenbauer's are also being moved around the city. So I am asking you to help me tract these Engines and if possible, help me update the CFD Apparatus roster on firewiki: Calgary Fire Department | Firefighting Wiki | FANDOM powered by Wikia

In particular I am looking for fleet numbers on Engines: 15,25,31,33,34,36,41 and 47.

Thank you for your help in advance!

I also know for a fact that Station 15 has a 2010 rig just don't know the shop number, unless when I seen it, it was a spare which I doubt.

During the height of the storm Saturday afternoon, I heard a rather sad sounding Captain from Engine 39 on the Deerfoot Tr asking dispatch to advise CPS that they were going to need 3 tows for suv's and 12 for smaller cars. The Deerfoot 500 was cancelled and replaced by a demolition derby!
