Is there anything that has changed with site 27? I am in Niantic using a unication G4, and I have the amplified charger, for about the past month I have been getting awful frame errors (2+) and even complete drop outs several times an hour, I ruled out equipment issues while the ubication does get a stronger signal in the charger and lower frame errors this happens regardless of weather its in the charger or not, so my reception has changed for some reason, I have done nothing differently on my end, I am using a 700/800 scanner antenna on the amplified charger, and the stock antenna that came on the pager

Should I try a reset on the pager? Reprogramming? Something changed and I can track it down

First off, in Niantic, you should be on Site 26, as you're in Troop E, not Troop F. If you want to listen to Troop F, you can do that on Site 26. You can also monitor the Middlesex Fire Disp on Site 26.

That said, there are a few odd spots in Niantic where you'll get the beeps telling you that you have lost the site, but it comes back fairly quickly. I have been experiencing that daily for the past five years with the G5 pager, living not far from the transfer station.

At times, I roam onto Site 27 or Site 37, but the pager pops back onto 26. Even on the FMR and in Rocy Neck the pager primarily stays on 26 rather than 27.

I see Waterbury police, and Waterbury fire are back on the statewide system
And I know it's random affiliation on the CLMRN, but I programmed 65366 when I first heard the fire and I always seem to hear them on it often. Love hearing the dispatch channel because I can't receive Waterbury's system well enough where I am in Cheshire and I don't want to add another system to scan, taking too much time from others.

I was wondering, do these random affiliations from other systems on the CLMRN show up within a specific order of availability with in the 65XXX talk groups?

Yeah you'll definitely have some that are in use for some time, but my understanding is eventually they go back into the pool rather than being permanently assigned.

Trumbull FD went to Milford mutual aid yesterday and they did some portable checks and sounded great.
I was wondering if anyone noticed if they affiliated with the new Yale system?
They have a site on the Orange/Milford line

I'm in NWCT on the Troop B site, and noticed a lot of new radios for Trumbull Center over the last few days (Thus far I only had Long Hill FD)
It also looks like I need to update the Radio ID list because there are a ton of over the air aliases in my radio log and only 2 on the list...

The beauty of being on the CLMRN, if you go to a parade in Litchfield County you will affiliate with the system up there

I have been running UniTrunker on that system, and no Trumbull units affiliated with it

Torrington Police should be going live on the system soon. Little bit of activity today. First time since February or so. 1435001 and 1435002 with matching affiliations to 24311 and 24313.

If they do the same Winsted did, they'll stay in the clear long enough to get all their radios upgraded and then go encrypted
They won't be encrypted. I have audio in the clear on 24311 from July 30th when Winsted PD accidentally transmitted a few times on their TG. They already have all or most of their new portables, which are currently in use out in the field on conventional. VP8000's. Not sure if the mobiles have been installed yet but I imagine they have been already. Only 24312 will be encrypted per the FBI mandates. No Talker Aliases captured yet to my knowledge but I'll take a look later today. Looks like more registrations/affiliations this morning around 9. Unrelated to Torrington PD, but looks like DEEP will be getting talker aliases soon enough. First capture was what I suspect is a Spill officer. "DEEP 6819-M" on the Spill TG. I would assume that would be unit "981."

819 would be a radiation guy I believe. You will only get aliases from radios that have the group services feature.
