How do I turn off 'close call' on an sds100? I thought I knew but it doesn't work! TIA

That's what I thought, that's what I've been trying, it wasn't working! This time instead of trying to back out, I just shut it off at that point. It came back up 'normal'. Still not sure why it wasn't working, is there a special way to back out of the menu system after the -> Off ->E? Regardless, it's working now. Thanks
Typically, I just push the Menu button till it goes back to scanning mode, as that tends to gracefully back out, but, if you press that before making sure that CC is "OFF" then you'll possibly leave it in non-Off mode. Do you know what mode it was in? I know that when I was first getting used to how the menus/enter worked (I tend to push the rotating knob rather than pressing E, though), I managed to NOT set loads of values as I'd not press enter after rotating to select a value...now I'm quite consistent about E!

I think I tried that 5 times and it didn't work. Still not sure, maybe I was doing something wrong, but I suspect there was a glitch in the radio! I'm tempted to try it again..... but I think I'll leave well enough alone. Thanks

I think my scanner had a hitch in it's giddy up. The 1st soft key is labeled 'to scan'. Pressing this had no effect so I was tryin to use the menus and that wasn't working either. For what ever reason the soft key is working fine now. Now I can turn on the close call feature and when I'm done hit the soft key and it returns to scanning. Not sure what the problem was but it's working properly now. Thanks for your input and ideas.
