But last week and a few weeks before the newer versions of the software were not released, so that really has nothing to do with what we are talking about here.
Okay. Thanks. I wasn't too sure. I try to run the duke power seems the site is too weak to get a good signal.

I have been monitoring a Harris P25 system all day that is known to use OTAs, though I only saw affiliations today and no voice traffic. So, I cannot confirm that system yet. Also, im not sure a lot of people monitor it. I'll check back when there is a day with more Voice Activity.

I switched to monitoring another Harris P25 system that is busier and uses OTAs. I'll let it run overnight and check back tomorrow to see if anything happens.

Although it does look like some systems in the server list are Harris and have captured some OTAs: (here are some examples, i think lol)

I have cleaned up my .Radios file (AFTER backing up original) and will run it on the Duke Energy Harris P25 system (Sysid: 397 WACN: 91F14) which has OTA aliases. As you all have said, no storms or bad weather so little traffic, but let's see what happens.

The reason it did nothing for existing Harris aliases as far as pushing them to the server is because existing Harris aliases have no checksum. Newly acquired aliases should be sent up. And if you want existing aliases to be pushed up you'd likely have to remove the clear text aliases from your DSDPlus.radios file for those Harris aliases and re-acquire them. Not suggesting that you should do that, just suggesting the reason why the existing ones aren't automatically being pushed up.

Among other things, the checksum is a safeguard to make sure that somebody can't edit an OTA alias in DSDPlus.radios to something nasty or incorrect and then have it pushed up to the server. Only aliases that DSDPlus has added a checksum for can / will be sent to the server.

Last week and a few weeks before bands were open and was getting that signal full scale and was decoding RID.
Read mtindor's reply above. That's the reason the harris aliases didn't OTA to lower versions of dsdplus.
Makes sense honestly

I don't know precisely when the original 2.516 was updated with the updated 2.516. If you downloaded it anytime after midnight last night, I'm sure you have the latest version. Yes, once you copy new Harris Aliases, I believe there will be a checksum with them in the .radios file. However, I think that if you have existing Harris radio IDs in your DSDPlus.radios file, those will never upload to the server simply because they wouldn't have a checksum.

And I'm not sure if they will update to aliases w/checksums just by monitoring those same RIDs again. If they don't, they would likely have to be removed and allowed to be re-monitored all over again to get checksums. I just don't know the answer to this. I tried to test today, but the local AEP Harris site was silent all day (no bad weather) and there were no RIDs talking while i was monitoring.

From my testing today on a Harris system - If you already had received OTA aliases, it will reacquire the OTA alias, calculate the checksum, and upload to the server. In your .radios file, it will look like this:

Code:
P25, 46F74.0D6, 4221, 7270002, 50, Normal, 162, 2025/01/14 13:59, *"DCC2", "DCC2", 98BDEB0E

So you have the pre-2.516 OTA Alias after the *, followed by the 2.516 OTA Alias and checksum.

I guess that means I'll have to clean these up at some point or another..

Thanks for checking that and clarifying. The only Harris system around me is AEP, and without inclement wx there is extremely low activity.

I can confirm that the Harris P25 system is working as well. I had no doubts that it wouldn't, but I just wanted to say it works for me. It's nice to see that the .radios file is in the same format as the Moto OTAs. That helps me with exporting the data to other programs.

Here's an example of an old Harris OTA from 2024 and a new one that was acquired today:
Code:
P25, 92463.00A, 601, 19211, 50, Normal, 2, 2025/01/15 6:41, "", "MRM0VPZ_Michae", 71F86F3D
P25, 92463.00A, 601, 74168, 50, Normal, 4, 2024/12/19 16:14, *"BXH0TCL_Brian_"

And I do see that system being sent to the server:
Code:
92463.00A Florida Power and Light FL 40

Awesome work on implementing OTAs for Harris and Moto P25 Systems over the pas few updates.

Cool that FP&L was using aliases. I had no idea they were.

I noticed FP&L a few months ago were using OTA. I was by a tower and only certain ones used OTA some others didn't. I noticed yesterday and today getting FPL.

I ran Duke Power for my area over night and no TG showed up. FP&L and NC was updating on my end. Last night I decide clean out all RID for certain systems and let it start from scratch. I did copy and paste a old radio file case I need to pull a RID or something else from it.
