Really looking forward to seeing this new release of DSD+ ......with screenshots suggesting some element of decoding of privacy-enabled signals, text messages and GPS decoding (yes, all the things that many others have been chipping away at for ages), I really hope we do get to see it, and that it isn't some elaborate hoax !

Versions of DSD+ that auto-decrypt MotoTRBO basic/enhanced privacy and P25 ADP have been created, but there are no plans to release these. They would only increase the use of real encryption. The team debated whether LRRP (GPS) functionality should be released as some public safety systems use it, but those agencies have the option of encrypting their data, and should be, so LRRP is ok. Same thing for text messaging.

Will this new version decode voice and show GPS position from D-STAR network? Some good news on NXDN data decoding?

I would really, really like it if the DSD+ audio recording could start a new file every call (as in when the audio data is interrupted or the talk group changes) and name them using the date, time, talk group # and radio #. I can see that the program can detect the group/radio #s on a P25 voice channel.

Also, I don't see the radio numbers of a radio-to-radio individual call in the output like I can for a group call. Is that a program limitation, or does this information not exist on the voice channel?

I would pay $$ for this feature as it would simplify recording a lot (no need to send the audio to a separate program using another virtual audio cable), and even possible (Unitrunker does not show individual calls being active the full time that DSD+ shows audio data coming in, and if you record based on that you only get bits and pieces of a call)

DSDplus - thank you for the update. To clarify re my last, the intention was not to reveal beta testers - but just to see if there was actually any progress being made as it had been a while since your last update: your latest series of postings is really welcome.

Any progress on NXDN decoding (RAN, GID, UID) is a big bonus, so really welcome that too.

Also, like rosecitytransit, starting new recording file for each call would be a nice feature if that could be added.

If you need any help with any combination of conventional DMR/NXDN samples I can help out here.

My local leo uses mototrbo analog, all I get is motorboating, can I download a program to my scanner for this? Was recently told that they went digital but my analog scanner stops on the frequency when they transmit, just motorboat.

There is no such thing as 'MotoTRBO analog'. Its either analog or its MotoTRBO... And no, there isn't anything you can download to a scanner. The motorboat you are hearing on you analog radio is the TDMA digital.

As you can see these are VHF voice and data and UHF voice and data.
On VHF band each service has it's own frequency so there is no frequency hopping to follow the conversations. There are several control channels that change their frequency over 24h period.
On UHF band, control channels are static but there is a frecuency hopping so if you want to follow the conversation you must be able to "read" the control channel.
Every conversation, on both UHF and VHF band start with 2 frames of data and everything else is voice. Sometimes during long voice reports there is 2 data frames somewhere in the middle and sometimes 1 or 2 at the end.
