This version seems to be far better at error checking than previous versions. I had three frequency file errors that had to have been in the file for at least a year. The new version picked them up and I was able to fix them.

Ahh, That was it.. Didn't see that mentioned in the notes..
Worked fine before..
Thanks. (y)

Probably because it should be decimal rather than hex :) I just submitted a change request for that system, requesting that it be changed from hex 1C0 to decimal 448

Apparently they need to switch to a different method for updates because they are in over their heads with delays to everyone else. Very frustrating!

If I may make a suggestion, check your spam folders. You never know when a legitimate email might come in and hit your spam folder. Or if you use something like Outlook or Thunderbird (or any email client that does some type of spam filtering of its own), check your spam / junk folder for the email.

I'm not saying the email is going to be there, but you never know. The methods used to detect legit / nonlegit email aren't 100% effective.

They did switch once quite a while ago now. They used to send the updates as attachments which really slowed down what they could send.
Then they came up with this method where you download the file directly. This helped big time.

The old story goes that the server sending the emails is located in a remote place with very limited resources for internet. I've heard it was actually on an island somewhere but who knows how true that is.
Anyway, if the above is true, they are probably limited in the amount of emails that can be sent in each batch. Send more and you are blocked or throttled.

I understand that we all had paid the full price but for me, it is not a life or death situation. I'll just wait patiently. Heck I am still learning at the bottom of the learning curve but I do have it up and running.

That's really a poor way of doing things!

This update we can't download direct links!

We have to wait on email!

I think this is because each copy is serialized with your info from when you made the purchase if I'm not mistaken.
And with this version, they changed the download link contents and not just the actual filename like in the past.

I'd guess it was because of users giving out their personal links like I saw here just the other day in another thread here on RR.

People need to stop giving out their private links to dsdplus fast lane! If you want to help your friends loan them the money! Now we have to wait long periods of time to get our updates we whom have paid out of our own pockets!!

lol.

Anyhow I am having problems with FMP24 crashing. Runs fine ran by itself but has a meltdown ran with following commands in a .bat file...

START FMP24 -rc -i1 -_3 -o20001 -P0.0 -b-12.5 -g19.7 -a0 -s1 -fxxx.xxxxxx
START FMP24 -rv -i2 -_3 -o20002 -P0.0 -b-12.5 -g19.7 -a0
START DSDPLUS -rc -fr -i20001
START DSDPLUS -rv -fr -i20002 -Pmp3 -o1M -O NUL

I am running windowz 7, 64 bit.

I changed settings to this...

START FMP24 -i1 -_3 -o20001 -P0.0 -b-12.5 -g19.7 -a0 -s1 -fxxx.xxxxxx
START FMP24 -i2 -_3 -o20002 -P0.0 -b-12.5 -g19.7 -a0 -rv
START DSDPLUS -rc -fr -i20001
START DSDPLUS -rv -fr -i20002 -Pmp3 -o1M -O NUL

It was working yesterday. But today it still s**ts itself.

Oh and tested with DMR AES256 today and first hit said "EP", 2nd hit said no encryption and 3rd came up with AES256. Tait TP9300.

Any suggestions? I have reverted back to version 2.212 with no wucken forries.

FYI guys: dsd2212 will decode using a sdrplay rsp2 pro (BUT) dsd2228 will not with out re configuring it for (TCP) connection!
Also I'm running a single $20 dongle for CC and Voice and for the most part still works ok with 2228.
Just my two cents.
