My files were in all perfect condition, with commas and in the proper formats listed in top of the files. After loading up new fastlane, dsd reported many error in networks, freqs and site files. When I went in the files, many comma's were gone. I know they were there because I back up networks, sites, radio and group files every month and the commas are in the backups from last week.
You're suggesting that DSD+ writes to those files? That makes no sense. What's it going to write? It doesn't magically know the names of networks or sites. Those aren't broadcast over the air, so why would it touch those files?

My networks, sites and frequencies files haven't been touched in ages, because I haven't had any edits to make. And DSD+ hasn't touched them either. Other files have been getting updated by DSD+, but not the ones you're going on about.

19-Sep-2019 02:46 PM 49,407 DSDPlus.sites

I have the same issue but haven't figured it out. What did you do to gain control of window size and position?
Hm, I just manually move them and size them the way I want them to be and that's exactly how they are the next time I run DSD+. Try manipulating them, then shut down / restart DSD+ and see what you get.

I'm not suggesting anything. Just stating that earlier in the day I was not getting any errors. When I ran the updated dsdplus, it was reporting errors in sites, networks and frequencies files. And when I looked at those files, commas were missing all over the place compared to back ups from a few days earlier. I edited them using replace feature and all works good.

I am also not the only one this happened to as same thing happened to @u2brent. And as we both stated, it was working before and the files were not edited.

That doesn't work here. My situation may be a bit unique. I am using an old Pentium III laptop (Thinkpad T23) running Windows XP if that has any bearing. I only use DSD+ to monitor a control channel from a discriminator tap. I can move the windows but cannot resize them with the mouse. Restarting DSD+ just snaps the windows back to where they were in the beginning.

In older versions of DSD+ I specified the window size and location in a batch file that starts the program. In 2.228 those entries in the batch file seem to be ignored. If I change the batch file to move or resize the windows it has no effect. Oddly it seems that 2.228 did pick up the settings from the batch file at first run and now they are invariant. With the addition of the menu bar in the event log window there is now a bit of overlap with the channel activity window that I wanted to eliminate. I can move the channel activity window down with the mouse but the new position doesn't stick when the program is ended and restarted.

Here is the batch file command.
DSDPlus -rc -o0 -i1l -v0 -O NUL -wsl422.200 -wss100.200 -wel0.403 -wcl422.403 -wes400.620 >>CC.log

FYI,
My commas were not deleted by any nefarious activity.. The starnet sites in question never had the comma after the site#, But they worked till this update nontheless. I just didn't know about the error till this upgrade pointed it out (and the site names didn't work) All the other sites in my file were formatted properly.. All good now, checked my older copies and they were the same.. Just that this version is much pickier about what's in the file compared to previous version(s) that did not point out the errors..

I think I messed about with the new metric/imperial settings in the DSD+ event log menus then restarted it but cant be sure to be honest.

As I said before, I think that the newest version of DSD+ is better at finding errors than was the old version. It also seems to be more sensitive to errors than was the previous version.

Grab the double triangle thingie in the lower right corner.
I took the old T23 off line and replaced it with a Thinkpad T60 running Windows 7. Now the window position is retained when I close and re-open DSD. The triangle thingie also works to resize the window, just as you said. Thanks for your help.

re. my post #98. I am getting "exception" errors from FMP24. I tried it today, copying a working (previous release of FL) directory to another location and copied and overwrite the new files in. DSD+ runs, but FMP24 "Refuses" TCP connection. Eventually it freezes my PC Windowz 7, 64bit (which has never happened, ...ever.). So taking screen shots is impossible.

I have tried deleting the *.dat files as well.

Trouble ocures after FMP24 calls home and checks for updates, so I am pretty sure that this is irrelevant and not caused by this action.

I'm in no rush for a fix / solution, but I have never experienced this issue with DSD+ FL before.

Lifetime subscriber here.

ps. It cracks me up how impatient folk are for the FL releases. These are generaly recieved in up to 2 days? That is not bad in the large scale of things considering 2-3 monthly releases.

Just curious, if one pays for an, is it, 12 month subscription ($10) can one pay an extra $15 for lifetime subscription? I think I paid $25USD. Anyhow, that may help folk out and stop the worry about getting 'fleeced' out of 2 months subscription?!!

Keep up the good work. Please fix FMP24 ! Cheers.

Yes, just have to go into security and allow it. There's no virus...

Sounds like you have not downloaded / unarchived / overwritten older data with new data every time a new version came out. Otherwise I'm pretty sure you would have that file.

But, you can simply make a blank text file called DSDPlus.siteloader (make sure it doesn't save it with the txt extension) and put it in your DSDPlus folder.

Attached is a very basic DSDPlus.siteLoader file (with .txt on the end so that I was allowed to upload it).

1. no examples in it. But instructions are in it
2. rename DSDPlus.siteLoader.txt to DSDPlus.siteLoader
3. put it in your DSDPlus folder

NOTE: I ended up putting examples in it. For example:

P25, BEE00.348, 0, "MARCS-IP"
P25, BEE00.348, 2.63, "Stark County"

Basically, to create trunked system listings in the siteloader you first must make a network entry (that is the first line above). The network entry always has 0 as the site ID. Then you need to make a site entry for each site in the system (that you might want to monitor and can hear). The documentation at the top of the file is helpful.

Your a star, thanks for that. I'll try and get it sorted when I get a chance this week sometime.

Those crazy default settings probably triggered the trojan virus alarm. This DSDPlus v.2.228 stubbornly wants to connect on TCP/IP like a machine gun not relenting and getting rejected by Windows network security. It even made my computer sluggish overall with its excess activity. It surely looked suspicious.

It is a challenge to turn off the default TCP/IP connection in the new DSD+ CC Event Log window. The audio channel options are greyed out until the Control menu is set to Digital Passive Monitor. What a messy situation.

The audio decoding quality is really good in this version though.

I had a bunch that needed to be allowed.

Once I allowed them, Norton did the same thing, had to go in there too..

Hmmm, I haven't received the update email yet.

I believe they come out in the order of membership, sorta like a seniority list. Oldest adopters get notified first, Newbies come last.. Just an observation..
