Duke Energy P25 System

If anybody is interested, Boatbod OP25 is up and running on Duke P25 now, or at least, experimental but its functional for now for me. If anybody who uses Boadbod OP25 wanted to give it a shot/another shot. I've got Live Oak FL going right now, but only thanks to Boatbod taking my capture.bin file and doing some work on the software. He might still benefit from capture.bin files of other sites if you encounter issues, it gives him sample data for TDMA control channels at any rate.

When I drove thru Taylor County Fl Fri I meant to get info for the Mayo site info since it was listed south of the county. I was too busy working on a few sites for another system.

Is there a Mayo site, or a listing for one on the FCC website? I haven't seen any strong signals in the 850Mhz area that would indicate Duke Energy for Mayo. Best I've seen is the Duke Energy Live Oak site, and a little bit of Madison and Perry, but those are pretty faint.

Oh okay, thanks, I can see the signal, but its barely there. Not quite sure if its fair to call it Mayo/Tennille when its about 18.5 miles straight line of sight distance from Mayo , I may just need to adjust my outdoor antenna or put it on the other side of my house to get the signal, or take it out in the field and use the laptop. Signal has been fairly poor this morning on account of the weather anyways, so could just be that, or maybe a wet antenna connection.

I think it's fair to call it either Mayo (FCC licensed to Mayo) or Tennille (what the folks at Duke actually call the site -- Tennille 900 Mhz Radio Site). Well, Mayo at 18 miles seems far fetched, but I think Tennille is only 6-7 air miles, so that's not too bad. Crazy how these places license to location names (cities / towns / etc) that do not even make sense given they are often so far away from them.

In operation. The FCC doesn't really care about the physical aspects of building a site, just the RF aspects.

Site 26 Live Oak is correct since I was in those areas back in August. When I drove down by 98/19 I forgot to look at mayo site was too busy doing slers. There was note somewhere someone posted site 43 might be Mayo FL. I was in Leon County Wed and no info came up on the Bradfordville Site I was like a few miles from there. I tried all 3 freqs nothing I was at i10/319 area. I looked at my notes I don't see no NL for Site 43 I don't know if they activated the 43 since my last trip back in August.

In the Wiki for FL, sites without freqs next to the site ID are speculative. On my map, sites with a light blue background and a hatchet are the speclative sites. What makes them speculative? Well, as others have pointed out, For 90+% of the sites they went in order by license/name of physical site in FCC records (that Duke labeled when they submitted it). Look at the callsign column in the Duke FL wiki to see what i Mean.

That'll give you an idea of what's left and what site # it likely is.

Lochloosa is on the Google Map and is the last entry in the wiki page. Might end up being 51.

And the opposite could also be true, just because it hasn't been reported as built doesn't mean it's not on line. I will say in my site travels I have yet to find a site that was reported as built that wasn't singing.

Agreed. That's why a map of all of the licensed site has been provided -- so that people can simply look to see if there is a site in their area, check the frequencies on that license and see whether it is online.

Possible. Or it may not be online yet. did you copy any of its likely peers during that time? If so, in your DSDPlus.P25Data file you'd have 41 show up as a peer with a freq. I'll have to defer to you though, since I have no idea where 319 is. I'm just peering in from Ohio

I was thinking it isn't online yet myself. Back in August Mayo FL wasn't online at that time. I didn't see nothing on DSDPlus files and I even did a 800 band search on the sds100 nothing on that end. Maybe my next trip it should come online.
