I often hear the Cajundome employees talking on 453.55 and 453.975 which is the only two frequencies I can find them licensed for. I sometimes hear them say "goto channel 5" or "goto channel 8." I have tried searching 150-180, 450-480, and 849-869 looking for other frequencies especially when there is an event going on but I have never heard anything that even remotely sounds like it could be them except on the two frequencies above. Does anyone know if they actually do have other frequencies than the two above and do you know that those frequencies are?

You know that you can have a buttload of CH with just 2 freq pairs right? Each with different CTCSS DCSS NAC etc.... Not to mention the repeater vs direct angle.

EX: 453.4500 Repeater out for 1, 453.6000 out for 2.
Inputs 458.4500, and 458.6000.
CH 1 - 458.4500 131.5 PL in, 453.4500 131.8 PL out. CH 2 - 458.6000 131.8 PL in, 453.6000 131.8 PL out.
CH 3 - 458.4500 95.7 PL direct. CH 4 - 458.6000 88.5 PL direct.
CH 5 - 453.4500 88.5 PL direct. CH 6 - 453.6000 103.7 PL direct. ETC, ETC,....

And if it was an DMR system, it gets even more fun. Now you add in Slots, Color Codes, and Talkgroups. Nearly endless possibilities. And both those repeaters for the Cajundome are licensed for NFM and DMR use. So now you do have 4 freqs, and an buttload of possibility! (R1 - 453.5500/458.5500 R2 - 453.9750/458.9750) Inputs in bold

Then add any FRS/GMRS/Business Band for any
Private Security, Vendors that may or may not be licensed from the home HQ address

You may want to use the FCC and Search around the Lat/Lon of those two licenses, you will likely find,. using 1 mi the Campus, add those channels

It would be rare to find them using a Multi-band channel plan, likely it is all UHF

Ya know, I noticed that they were using tone squelch but I never paid attention to the tone to see if it changed. I guess I will have to watch it to see if different ones come up. Their license does have two emission types, one for analog, and one for DMR. So far I have only heard analog transmissions using CTCSS. It could also be that maybe some channels use the repeater and some are simplex. I might be just a little too far away to hear the simplex ones.

And be glad its all conventional. Here in INDY at the Lucas Oil Stadium/Indiana Convention Center complex they have an UHF LTR TRS, and also use the same UHF system in conventional mode to give them even more options and free up TGs on the TRS for things. Also once you get them figured out, submit your findings and I will add them to the DB.

Okay, I will monitor it for a week or so then submit what I find. Separating conventional analog channels by tones on the same frequency does seem like a sloppy way of doing things when you consider that if two people key up on different channels at the same time one of them will not be heard because of the capture effect. But then again they don't talk that much even when an event is going on.

Well so far over the past few days I have only heard transmissions on 453.55 using a CTCSS of 141.3 on every transmission and occasional traffic on 453.975 using a CTCSS of 173.8 on every transmission.

Cajundome DMR

Was there for a mardi gras event. Catering staff had motorola DMR portables. If memory serves
it was the HT where the LED display is a single digit that would show up from behind the black plastic.

I may have a list from friend of their current channels. I'll see if I can locate that list.
