It's just that I keep one of my scanners listening to CW2 (483.9875) 24/7 and note what I am hearing.

at the risk of sounding like a dope... which no doubt i can be,...
i currently have the new ems cw2 listed as 482.21875.
is this still correct? and/or is there a new 6.25 channel lineup that i am not aware of?

Re-cw # 2

The joke of the day is they decide to work on CW 2 instead of SI

i would think the primary freq would be more of a priority!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh well nyc at its best, leave it tto the prros to make the right decisions lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If history has shown us anything, it's that when high tech is involved they're incapable of doing it right the first 2 times.

What's the big deal that's why they have multiple frequencies, you can switch. BTW my reaction when I worked down there to no response on a channel was to switch to City-Wide, then to another borough freq if necessary. You should have been around for the first changeover in the mid 70's. Now that was a real mess.

Friday 12:20PM and do you know where your Citywide 2 EMS is????? :)
Starting to hear testing on CW2, which preceded by a long steady tone similar
to how the phone company finds the matching pair in your building to your jack.....

Re--brooklyn south/staten island

Well we are coming down the the final 2 freq for the FDNY-EMS transition

this am btwn 9am and 10am all Brooklyn South and Staten Island units are operating on cw 2

CW 2 was completed as of yesterday....2 channels left BK-SO/SI

FYI if anyone was trying to monitor Brooklyn North on the new freq pair it is down..it was completed a few weeks ago but for some reason there is problems with the freq

I will update that as well when it is back on line

finally it is almost coming to a close the transition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like Bklyn South will be the first when they split off as they are doing tone checks and dead air on the new Bklyn South channel only as of 1:35PM today.

Charlie, does this mean Brooklyn and SI ill have their very own channels instead of be BK-S/SI as it as for many years.. if this is the case wonder if BK-SOUTH will be still considered div 5 or it will go under div 3

tuning in Steps? - Ditch that digital tuner and use an analog one with a fine tune knob & you can get right on the money.
lol

In the list that I posted before, Staten Island will have their own channel when this is all over with. As for the divisions, I have not seen any mention of any changes. The repeater splits are the same as for all UHF above 470Mhz (input is 3Mhz higher). As for audio feeds on RR, it all depends who has the time/money/equipment/bandwidth resources to set up such an operation.

Brooklyn South and Staten Island will remain in Division 5, they will just be on different frequencies. The separation of Brooklyn South and Richmond frequencies won't happen until we move to the new Center.
