It’s been a while since I’ve been in the scanner market. I’m looking for a scanner that gets the Fort Worth (now the North Texas System) as well as Parker County. Looking to see how many handheld models I can go back before the scanner is obsolete with the current systems. In the past I’ve had a Uniden 396T and an 436HP, looking to purchase something used is why I’m asking which older scanners will still work with these systems.

Only the SDS100 will reliably receive the NTIRN Simulcast system you are wanting to monitor. All the others are hit and miss as you move around.
Parker County currently is P25 Phase 1 so any other P25-1 trunking scanner should work.

I wouldn't go with anything less than an SDS100, SDS200, or Unication G5 with VHF.

By the way, the Parker County system will become part of NTIRN. From Parker County Commissioners Court Agenda
"Motorola Solutions is pleased to provide this proposal to the Parker County to join the Parker County ASTRO radio system to the North Texas Interoperable Radio Network (NTIRN). The Parker County Core will operate as Zone 5 of the NTIRN system (system ID 044A).

Interesting to see as it was expected to happen eventually. I expected changes were coming when the county erected a new tower at the Precinct 4 site north of Brock in late July. Searching the FCC ULS last fall I never saw any changes to the county's licenses recognizing the site.
I didn't notice any dates in the Motorola document.
