I have noticed that as well a few days ago. I think they are just keying up while in a conversation. I dont think they are keying with intention of talking into it. Keying for testing I guess.
Its parked on 1 voice frequency too today and hasnt changed frequency. Wasn't so yesterday. It was utilizing 6 frequencies which has been the norm for over a long time span.

Edit: then talk group 324 came in and lit up all 6 frequencies.

Looks like they are testing 1 repeater this morning. No voice. just keying.

OP25 stderr.2 output:
Each key up is 6.6 seconds apart. 200+ key ups and counting since I loaded OP25 to the system.

Can someone knowledgeable on the equipment side of things answer a question for me.

Obviously with ProVoice we’ve had to rely on the link through OKWIN to communicate directly with OKC dispatch via the links. These don’t exactly work well.

With this new system, will a L3Harris radio still be required to directly communicate via their system or are these systems evolving to the point where an APX mobile can be programmed to hit the system as needed thus eliminating the need for system links and/or dual radios in the vehicle?

Sorry, may be simple but on the in depth tech side of things I am oblivious.

Yes the Motorola APX series radios will work with this TDMA system. Other brand radios will also work.

Looks like the system is either offline or the CC has changed and isnt documented. I have been using SDR Sharp to locate any P25 CC's and havent found any other than Norman.

Back online using CC 851.1875
It *appears* that OKC is testing single towers. I live in Moore and usually get health levels from Unitrunker from 10-20 using outdoor 800mhz antenna. I am now in the mid 60s.

EDIT: site #4 at the SF ocpd station is being used at the moment.

This system went through some form of testing. I call it "Intelligibility Testing". One unit will say a sentence then another will repeat the sentence. If the copy is 100% then it will be "passed" or "good pass". This occurred on 2 TG's 50 & 51. Both TG's where in the clear during the test. Which is a good thing.

TG 10 was in service with no traffic. (I started DSD+ Fastlane at 2:30pm CDT I didn't hear anything. Very well could have been radio traffic prior to my session!)

TG 798 is encrypted.

Looks like they are finally making progress. I trust that FS4 has it's new tower completed and operational. I doubt that they would do this type of testing if the system's radio structure hasn't been completed.

At last check the tower was not finished. 798 is both encrypted and clear. That is OKC-IT.
tg9, tg10, tg64051, tg64052, tg64053 have been used for a while now. I just saw 50 and 51 pop up today.

64053, 64501, 64502 are patch/simulselect supergroups. They have been on and off during my session in DSD+ Fastlane. Actual RID registrations been observed.
