Site 70 does not use LCN 1 according to DSD+. I am amazed at the strong signal from this site into northern Ulster Co.

The callsign WRMZ587 is also licensed for 470.6875, 478.5125, and 478.5375. I am receiving a Tier III control channel on 478.5125, also a strong signal. The FCC shows no other licensees for 478.5125 that I would be able to receive. There is almost no traffic, mostly private data calls. The site is L6-17.3 with DCC = 1. Channel number is 3870 and so far only the control channel is shown. Neighbors are L6-17.4 cc 2141, L6-15.1 cc 2907, and L6-14.8 cc 3919. Does anyone know more about this L6 system?

I hate to continuously be "that guy", but please remember to submit these findings to the database so they can be properly cataloged and added.

A Tier III system will eventually replace the Con+ system, this has been in the testing phase for quite some time at a few sites in the area. No timeline yet.

Might that be using network ID 6? I caught a mystery site using that net ID in TIII mode on 461.3625 while parked at Olana (Columbia County). Site 17.4 heard with 14.8 and 15.1 announced as neighbors.

Yes. I believe that the TIII 6 system will eventually be goosetowns new TIII (Capacity Max??) system. The sites are relay dead, so as GTR mentioned there probibly is no timeline. I also have done some scanning around the band and have seen a TIII system 8 as-well. Possibly related, possibly not. But, Ive been monitoring L6-17.3 for the better part of 2 weeks. Up until a few days ago the site was isolated, and all i saw was private data calls and some LRRP data. I was able to capture some other Channel IDs, but again i have to check my logs.

I am also within range of sites 15.1, 14.8 and others and was able to calculate their frequencies and Channel IDs and possibly locate them. Ill check my notes.

I ran it in the SDS LCN finder last night, i have yet to review all my logs but the info currently in the database is wrong. site 70 doesn't use LCN 1, at least not yet. Once i get home ill check my logs and submit a update.

Possibly, yes. But i'm not finding any FCC records for 461.3625. What channel ID did you capture?

I hear L6-17.4 on 463.3625, very strong. Repeater Network has four licenses for 463.3625: WQPL867 Esopus, WPYU514 Port Ewen, WPXV514 Overlook Mtn, WPNU273 Austerlitz.

I calculate L6-15.1 to be on 472.5 WQAF677, not receivable here.
L6-14.8 calculates to 478.825 WPMF704, not receivable here.

Here in lower Hudson Valley:

L6-15.1 - 472.5000 is Valhalla, it's been online since May 2023
L6-14.8 - 478.825 is Pomona, it's been online since last year.

I think perhaps the talk of the new Tier 3 system should be in its own thread, not lumped in with the Con+ thread.

For the folks monitoring the existing 171 OneVoice Con+ Network (171), I think we should discuss the new in the works TIII (Cap Max?) System (L6) Here as to not clog up the other Con+ Thread….

So far i have logged sites 17.3, 15.1, 14.8 and 17.4. All seem to be in New York state. Not alot of Voice activity on any.

Others should chime in with their findings below.

Carry on….

As I posted in the Con+ thread:
Using DSDPlus:
L6-14.1 - Farmington CT using CC 695=454.3250
Only voice has been on Ch 696 (control channel slot 2)
Neighbors:
15.1 - Ch 2907
17.3 - Ch 3869

Programmed into Uniden:
NET 5, Site 104
CC 348
SDRTrunk also shows the info as Network 5, Site 104

I wonder if the site numbering started where the Con+ sites ended? The Farmington (CT) site covers the Goosetown office in Bloomfield CT so it would make sense to have it be one of the first ones up.

I have a TinySA spectrum analyzer and set it to sweep 461-465 MHz using a 2 inch antenna. Three control channels were received on the analyzer as listed below.
461.6375 Overlook Mtn - NYCOMCO DMR
463.3625 L6-17.4
464.7625 OneVoice Esopus

461.6375 and 463.3625 are about the same strength at -90dBm on the analyzer. 464.7625 is about 10dB weaker. Nothing from Austerlitz showed up with the small antenna used. It appears that L6-17.4 is transmitting from Overlook. The signal is strong enough to be received on a Uniden BC72XLT with no antenna.

As a further data point, I did not receive anything on 463.3625 from the Albany County Airport parking area, but I can track OneVoice Site 25 (Austerlitz) from there. My only decoding on that frequency was from the parking lot at Olana.

FYI, this is not a MOTOTRBO Capacity Max system. It's currently running on Selex ES (Leonardo) hardware, which perhaps not so coincidentally is what Saia is also testing as the potential replacement for SaiaNet Con+.

Thanks to all those contributing good info. I'll probably create this system in the database at some point today/tonight so we can start to officially track the sites.

Parenthetically, I hope those two networks (OneVoice and SaiaNet) end up with different IDs next time.
Uh, but if they wind up being linked, then what? :sneaky: Hint...there's a reason OneVoice and SaiaNet share the 171 NetID, just never came to fruition.
