I just started using Ham Radio Deluxe to control my Icom 746Pro. While the 746Pro us a ham radio, the software also manages several Icom receivers. You can see a full list of supported radios here. The good news is HRD is 100% free and very feature rich.

You are thinking I sure would like to give it a try but I don't have an interface cable handy. Suprisingly the GRE/RS Scanner Programming Cable works fine with many Icom models including mine. Go figure...
